GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [654]; this we have had before.
-
As we find, conditions are not so well in the present.
-
There are those effects of the general nervous irritation, owing to the conditions or developments through the pelvis; as well as the general conditions produced by the unbalancing of influences in the digestive system, that work against the reflex from the nervous forces.
-
First, in the present, we would be VERY mindful of the diet for quite a while.
-
Refrain from all fats or things of that nature, or carbonated drinks - or those things that form a great deal, or tend to form a great deal of acids in the system.
-
At least every day, until the irritation and discharge is better, DO have the Atomidine douche - body-temperature. The proportions would be a teaspoonful of Atomidine to each quart of water, used, - having the water body temperature. Then after the Atomidine douche, use a warm douche with Glyco-Thymoline in same - about a tablespoonful to the quart of water. The Atomidine is the acid and the Glyco-Thymoline the alkalin, you see. The Atomidine douche is destructive to the tissue that has become irritated or sore; while the Glyco-Thymoline douche following same is an antiseptic. Both are antiseptic in their natures, but one is an acid while the other is an alkaline. Have these at the same time, but take the Atomidine douche first each day; preferably when ready to retire.
-
Once a day, after the douches in the evening, we would apply the D.D.D. Cream. This will allay the itching and irritation about the vagina.
-
Take internally the compound known as Grove’s Tasteless Chill Tonic. This is needed to allay the disturbances in the blood stream. Take this for at least a week, leave off a week, and then take again - and so on.
-
Keep the eliminations well through the periods of taking these properties.
-
Do these things, and we will bring bettered conditions for the body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Just what is wrong with me? (A) The general effect upon the nervous system from irritations from infectious forces in the activity of the vagina and the organs of the pelvis.
-
(Q) What has caused the sudden illness? (A) Owing to the temperature, the heat, the activities, and the general change in the body-functionings.
-
(Q) Will it be necessary to have all my teeth pulled? (A) Use rather the salt and soda solution to reduce the troubles. If it is possible, do not remove until there is a change in the nerve conditions of the body and better conditions regarding the pelvic organs; and then have some of these removed. Or, when these other conditions have been cleared, if there is the indication that pus still exists, it would be preferable to remove them.
-
(Q) Does the doctor know what is wrong with me and won’t tell, or doesn’t he know? (A) He suspects but doesn’t know, and wouldn’t say so.
Do these things, and we will bring better conditions for the body.
- We are through for the present.

Box … …, Miss.
Dear Mrs. Cayce:-
I was deeply grieved to hear of the death of Mr. Cayce. He has always been such a good friend - as he was to EVERY ONE.
I can really sympathize with you as I lost my husband six years ago and I know what it is to be left alone.
It is our loss but God’s gain. After all they aren’t so far away, just in another room as Mr. Cayce wrote me when my husband passed away. And it’s such a comfort to know they are SAFE with God and free from all this worldly suffering.
Mr. Cayce was a wonderful man and did so MUCH good in the world. And I’m sure his influence and example for good will help me (as well as all he came in contact with during his life in this world) in all the years to come and help us to so live that we may safely reach our heavenly home and hear God say “well done my good and faithful servant.” As I’m sure he said to Mr. Cayce.
I received one of his books quite some time ago and at the time I was very ill and never did read it or pay for it. It was put in the book case and this Xmas I was very ill again and had to move in Jan. The book was found and I read it and can’t tell you how much I enjoyed reading it and how much it helped me. I shall always keep and treasure “There Is a River.” I don’t suppose you remember me but I’ve seen you when you used to live in Selma, Ala. Mr. Cayce took quite a few pictures of me and once he took a picture of me to try to win some kind of a contest but something happened to the picture before he could send it and there wasn’t time to take another. I was about seventeen I believe then. My mother Mrs. [979] has lived in Selma for over forty years.
I have been away from there most of the time since 1914 but have gone back quite often but always seemed to just miss you and Mr. Cayce on your visits there.
I am enclosing check for $5.00 for the book “There Is a River.” I believe that’s what it was.
May God bless you and be with you in your hour of sorrow and give you the strength to bear your great loss.
Your sincere friend [654]

What causes me to get so fat? Please tell me what to do for whatever is wrong. Is the Dr. giving me the right treatment?”
