This Psychic Reading by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of February, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [658], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [658].]

Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va.

  1. GC: You will have before you the entity, the enquiring mind of [658], present in this room, who seeks advice and guidance at this time regarding acquiring the Newcastle Hotel, located on the Ocean Front at 12th Street, Virginia Beach, Va. Considering the interest of the entity in this property and the conditions surrounding it, you will advise her as to just how she should proceed to secure this hotel. You will answer the questions, as I ask them. If the attunement for this information will in any way be detrimental to Edgar Cayce, you will say “this may not be given.”

  2. EC: Yes, we have the conditions here, [658]; and those as pertain to the acquiring of this hotel.

  3. When all things are considered, we do not find that it would be the best - under the existing conditions - for this to be attempted in the present.

  4. As we find, when there has been the passing of conditions as will be within the next two years, regarding properties in this vicinity, THEN - should there still be the desire - the physical activities and the general surroundings of the body [658] will be such that this can be accomplished in a more satisfactory manner than could or might be accomplished in the present.

  5. There are some complications as to the ownership in this particular property in the present, that will be clarified in that period.

  6. If there is the desire on the part of [658] to acquire the use of the hotel for the next two seasons, this as we find may be accomplished by the obtaining of the assistance or aid of some that have been a part of [658]‘s associations. This would give the opportunity for activities that would be more satisfactory than attempting to acquire ownership of the property in the present.

  7. Ready for questions.

  8. (Q) Would it be advisable for me to associate myself with Mrs. H. W. Cobb [Iscar May Cobb] of 724 Westover Ave., Norfolk, Va., in the renting of this property? (A) This as we find would be a satisfactory arrangement not only to the owners of the property, or trustees at present, but - as indicated - would allow the chances for clarifying many of those conditions that surround the present ownership.

As to the price, or the amounts necessary, - we find that arrangements may be made satisfactorily through this combined effort.

  1. (Q) Approximately what amount would be required to rent this property? (A) As indicated, this can be made satisfactory to all.

  2. (Q) Any other advice regarding this? (A) As we find, when all things are considered, this is the better manner for the body, [658], in the present. That we would undertake to do.

  3. We are through for the present.
