GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before, [667] - now called.
-
Conditions are not so good. There is too much exercise for the strength of the body. And the conditions in the lungs as well as the digestion and the kidney’s activities are not so good.
-
We would use, regularly, the inhalations of fumes from Apple Brandy. Do this consistently.
-
Also take daily the CALCIOS. Spread thinly a whole wheat cracker with this and eat it, once each day.
-
Keep the massages occasionally.
-
But unless we stop this activity through the lungs and the throat, the vitality will be so taken up that we may have most any character of disturbance through the abdominal areas.
-
Do that.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Did I receive too much sun at one time, and did this cause headaches? (A) This partially, but the great trouble of the headaches is from the kidney and the abdominal disturbance, from infectious forces through lung area.
-
(Q) What causes burning in nose? (A) Irritation to the mucous membranes, from the drying of tissue, by the calling on same to supply better lymph circulation.
-
(Q) Is the mechanical device used to hold womb in place harmful? (A) This is not contributing any to the betterment, but it is well to be used, for it is not too harmful - unless there is too much exercise of the body.
-
(Q) Should there be an operation? (A) Better be more mindful of the lung condition! For if this is cleared, we will find all of those disturbances through the abdominal area will be much improved - for they’ll hold themselves; provided the corrections are made in the lumbar and sacral areas.
-
(Q) Do the nervous conditions, at times, come from mental depressions? (A) They come rather from the weakness in the body, the lack of strength, that calls upon the nerves for energy and activity.
-
(Q) Please suggest diet to gain weight. (A) Fish at least twice or three times a week. Other days have the bony pieces of chicken, especially, and chew the bones. Plenty of yellow vegetables and fruits, all of the leafy vegetables, and not those things that carry acids. While it is well to eat raw foods occasionally, for this body there should not be too much roughage, and do not put vinegar or such salts on the salads. Use oil if desired, but not vinegar.

We are through with this Reading.

(See drawing [which was enclosed] to illustrate type of charred oak key to be prepared for inhaling Apple Brandy Fumes. Keep the keg in a warm place, where evaporation may take place, and inhale the fumes through the mouth two or three times a day. Use a Pure Apple Brandy, such as Hildick’s brand - not Applejack. Mrs. Helen Storey, in the office of Reynold’s Hdwe. Co., might be able to secure a charred oak keg for you if you have trouble locating one.
CALCIOS is distributed by The Colloidal Health Products Corp., Atten. A. A. Nichoson, Greenvale, Long Island, N.Y. It is a syrupy paste containing free calcium easily assimilated, and sells for $2.50 a jar.
We did not ask the question about the T.B. germs, because the suggestion for using the Brandy inhalations is a sure sign that you are on the verge of having T.B., unless something is done about it. Let us hear from you. Good luck. GD.)
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 8/8/43 Letter to GD: “I certainly have had a time obtaining a keg. Mrs. Storey located one for me. If it had not been for her I suppose I would still be looking for one. She was very thoughtful and helpful to me.
“The reason I am writing is that my cousin, [1850], told me that Mr. Cayce was booked up until first of next year. I want to be sure and get a ck. rdg. Put me down for the very next opening period that you have available, for I know I will need a ck. rdg. by first of next year.
“I was sorry that [1850] could not obtain a rdg. as she has been very ill for past year. I am sure you would not recognize her, she is not much larger than I am now.
“I am glad, though, that so many people have heard of Mr. Cayce, and the great work that he is doing…
“Please write and let me know the date I can get ck. rdg. Thank you and Mr. Cayce for all the help that has been given me.”
R2. 8/25/43 EC wrote her saying that he could not give her an appointment until Sept. or Oct. 1944, as he was booked up over a year in advance.
R3. GD’s note: In the fall of 1946 she was visited by Mignon Helms who was a Worker on the Edgar Cayce Foundation campaign. Mrs. [667] did not make a contribution but she ordered some A.R.E. Bulletins and asked for a back list of publications.
