This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of June, 1926, in accordance with request made by her neice, Mrs. […].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Dr. T. B. House.]

Time of Reading Rural Route #2, 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Kentucky.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

  2. EC: Now, we find there are those conditions which may be benefited, and that will give relief for the time for this body. The resistance has reached such a low ebb, through the various physical conditions as exist with the organs and with the general system, these will be hard to bring to their normal conditions within this body in the present plane.

  3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body, [67], we are speaking of.

  4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find very low in its vitality.

  5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this accentuated through the sympathetic nerve system, and so taut through many of the ganglia of the cerebro-spinal that it may be termed as naught in the ability to awaken this in a normal way and manner, as to meet the needs of the functioning system through the normal means of this system’s abilities to bring recuperative forces through its centers as it should.

  6. Now, to bring the better conditions for this body would be to, each evening when it retires, or is ready to retire, use the mud in the stream that flows nearest here (Cannon’s place, see?) as a pack, along the spinal column. When this has dried (and of the morning, see?) remove. Massage thoroughly (after cleansing) the whole cerebro-spinal system, this will assist the centers along the track of the sympathetic system to renew activity through their channels, as it were, from nature’s forces, see?

  7. Taking internally properties as would be prepared from this: To 1 gallon of rain water add:

Sarsaparilla Root…2 ounces, Yellow Dock Root…1 ounce, Wild Cherry Root…2 ounces, Burdock Root…1 ounce, Black Snake Root…1 ounce, Calsaya Bark…1/2 ounce, Elder Flower…2 ounces.

Reduce this by simmering (not boiling) to 1 quart. Strain while warm add 4 ounces pure grain alcohol, with 3 drams of Balsam of Tolu cut in it. The dose of this would be teaspoonful 4 times each day.

  1. Rub and massage the limbs and the extremities of the body each morning with equal parts Myrrh and Olive Oil. These do not mix in normal way, but mix in their penetrating forces to the body. This as we see, will give the extremities that incentive for the sustaining of their equilibrium through the efforts of the sympathetic nerve system.

  2. The diet should be that as will best assimilate in and for the system, which of necessity then should be changed often. As much buttermilk as the body will assimilate will always be good for the system, yet other properties than the regular diet should be given. As much change as possible, see?

  3. This will bring the greater relief, the greater conditions for the sustenance of the body in its present condition. Do that.

  4. We are through for the present.
