This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Hirn home, 6844 Nansen St., Forest Hills, L.I., N.Y., this 15th day of November, 1934, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [668].

Time of Reading 11:25 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. L.I., New York. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [731].

2. Now, as we find, the conditions are of such natures that have caused - and do cause - a great deal of anxiety; and little apparently has been able to be accomplished in the physical forces of this body. Yet, as we find, with care and much prayer, much concerted activity on the part of those that are responsible for the entrance of this soul and body in this experience, much may be accomplished; not only in the soul’s experience of this body but much development in the hearts and in the souls of those who would minister to THIS soul in this experience.

3. There has been and is existent very poor coordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal reactions in this body, [731], we are speaking of; yet these, as we find, are not only pathological conditions but psychological also. Hence these, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body:

4. The BLOOD SUPPLY, when considered from the general external and internal activity, is very good in the elements; though the circulation is greatly impaired.

5. In the NERVE FORCES, as we have indicated, there is a lack of coordination between the brain forces in the reflexes to the body and the abilities; for the coordination of the impulses from the sympathetic and the emotional body to the coordinating activity in the physical forces. The elements are lacking in same through the lack of the proper precautions taken during the period of gestation, by those about the body.

6. This, then, has made for that opportunity - as it were - for the entrance of this soul in these environs, these conditions; that it - through an All-Wise, All-Merciful Creative Energy (or God) - might be given into the keeping of those that have within themselves that ability to raise within themselves that which will prompt, does prompt them to give of themselves, of their abilities, of their own patience. For, as He has given to all, “In patience possess ye your souls.”

7. Then, as these give of themselves - for that of the patience, in the exercising of that which is as the justification by faith in the creative forces in a body that may make manifest - they may themselves become aware; and may bring for this body that which will be for its own best development in this experience.

8. This incoordination makes for the inability of the locomotion, the inability of the activities, inability of the coordinations in the cerebrospinal’s coordinating with the sympathetic in the sensory activities. So, the muscular forces, the activities from the ganglia and centers through the body make for the inability of their COORDINATING. Involuntary activity becomes voluntary at times, and the voluntary are involuntary in their reflexes.

9. As to the ORGANIC forces of the body itself:

It is not that the brain matter is affected, or that there are not the coordinations in the brain itself; but along those centers from the various glands where there are the secretions that are necessary - in even the foetal forces, that make for their creative activities in the body, these have been lacking; and this stamina necessary in the elements that create for the activity of the coordination between the white and the gray matter in the flow of the nerve itself (not in brain) is lacking.

11. These, as we find, may be aided in a very material way and manner. Yet, as we have given, it will require patience - and yet more patience; and consistency, and prayer, and meditation.

12. Would that all men would know, much more may be accomplished through the prayer of those that truly make of themselves one with the Creative Forces that have been manifested in the earth through Him that gave Himself that men might have the access to the Father, than through all the power and might of men. Though the worlds shall pass away, His Word shall NOT pass away. For He has given, “As ye ask in my name, believing, so shall it be done in thee.” And that thou asketh for, acting and believing in such measures and manners, shall bring unto thee that peace, that knowledge, that understanding, which comes only in the acceptance of - and being at one with - His divine forces that He manifests among men.

13. Then, prepare the wet cell battery that carries the low creation of electrical vibration that will coordinate with the centers themselves through the body of this little soul here; that we may make for the carrying into the system that which will add in a physical or manifested manner those powers that are as the manifestations of that Creative Energy in a material world. For, know ye: ALL POWER that is manifested in a material form can and does only arise through the GIFT of the divine that may be manifested. For, as He said - yea, unto him as in power - “No force, no power may be given thee save that which is the privilege of my Father which is in heaven.”

14. So, as ye apply these forces, let those that love - let those that seek to know His way - see day by day that manifestation of the creative forces from an All-Wise Creator, that has brought into thine experience that which will hold and draw - and draw thee closer to Him who shed His blood upon the Cross for thee!

15. In the battery let there be carried the Gold and the tinctures of Camphor, that they STRENGTHEN in the activative forces from those elements to the body. These would be prepared in this way and manner:

The Chloride of Gold would be one grain to one ounce of distilled water - this proportion; that would be carried in the larger nickel anode or connection that whenever it is attached to the body would be in the lacteal duct and the umbilicii center - and would be attached FIRST; while the smaller copper plate would be attached to that area between the 9th and 10th dorsal plexus - or on that plexus, last. This application would be for fifteen minutes each day, preferably in the evening before the preparation for retiring.

17. The Spirits of Camphor in the same type of application would be as follows: The small copper anode would be attached first, at the 1st and 2nd cervical - or at the axis or basis where the activities of the sympathetic and cerebrospinal come together in their entrance through the medulla oblongata to the lower portion of the cerebrospinal CENTER in the head itself; while the larger nickel anode passing through the Camphor solution would be attached last, over the umbilicii and lacteal duct center or area. This application would be given each morning for twenty to twenty-five minutes.

18. Also each day we would massage gently into the lower portions of the cerebrospinal system, especially around the upper cervicals, the dorsals, and ESPECIALLY across the lower lumbar area (or the locomotions in the body), a combination of equal parts of Olive Oil and Tincture of Myrrh - heating the oil to add the myrrh. Not hard, but gentle; using sufficient as will be absorbed by the body.

19. Let each day those that minister see rather this:

20. O God, through Thy promise in Thy Son, let there be done in this body that Thou - O God - seest is RIGHT and proper and justice! And may Thou, O Father, use US as Thy channels of blessings to Thy Son; In the name of Him who gave Himself we seek this.

21. Ready for questions.

22. (Q) Does the testicle that has not come down have anything to do with the condition? (A) The condition, rather, produces this.

Do these things, as we have indicated; and in that manner given. For the way is open. There is set before thee that in which thou, thyselves, may find the love of the Father that is manifested through His Son [GD’s note: I think [731]‘s parents were Catholic; I know Mr. [668] who referred them was.] in the earth. For TODAY thou hast drawn nigh unto Him.

”…I have thought of you good people quite often since we had the opportunity to try to be of a service to you.

“I assure you it is only our desire to be of a service that we are attempting at all to carry on the work of this organization.

“Have you been able to get together all of the things suggested for the young man? Are you following the line of suggestion every day? I know that this is to be quite a long and quite a drawn out experience, yet I am sure you both realize it would certainly be more than worthwhile if you were able to bring any sort of relief to the boy.

“From the experiences that we have had through the years, it has been rather a consistent thing, that where individuals are sincerely, systematically and conscientiously following the suggestions, they get results, to the measures as are promised them.

“Know if we can be of a help at any time in any way, we are only too glad to do so. I will appreciate it if you will let us hear from you.

“Wishing you the season’s greetings, and a happy and prosperous new year, and may His blessings come to you, even as to your measure of faith in Him…”
