This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Hirn home, 6844 Nansen St., Forest Hills, L.I., N.Y., this 26th day of November, 1934, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by child [728]”s mother.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body as called [746].

2. Now, as we find, the conditions that disturb the body have been in their beginning the disorders that deal with the nutritions for the body, or the activities that are preventing the normal coordinations in the physical forces with the imaginative or the sympathetic force of the body. Hence those conditions that exist where there has not been the ability for there to be built - under the existent distresses - that which will produce coordinations in the activities of the system.

3. These are deep-seated in the system, and while we may add that which may be helpful to the conditions, it will only make for a correction in part - and only bring for the body a somewhat bettered condition in the structural forces and in the coordinations of the mental activities - that will only be aided in their activity, as we find. For, where there has been such destructive force in the connections between those portions where physical and mental and spiritual coordinations should exist, these may not be made over; though they may be aided - as indicated - by the addition of Gold, Silver and Atomidine carried in vibrations. These elements added in the system will make for a HELPFUL condition, but there are those antagonistic influences about the whole creative forces as related to the body - in the applications of those things that might be helpful - that have been hindrances, that have through the mental forces in the pre-creation of the physical body brought these conditions to bear in this physical force.

4. The appliance for carrying the vibrations from such elements would be attached along the centers where there are those incoordinations active with the locomotion and brain reaction, with the creative forces from the assimilated energies of the body. Hence, when these vibrations are given from the wet cell influences, the attachments would be made in this manner:

One day (preferably in the evening when the body is ready for rest), the smaller copper anode would be first attached to the 1st and 2nd cervical; while the larger nickel anode passing through the Gold solution (in the proportion of one grain to one ounce of distilled water) would be last attached in the umbilicii or solar plexus center - or to the left of the navel. And the attachments would remain on the body for fifteen minutes.

6. The next evening, the smaller copper anode would be attached first at the 9th dorsal center; while the larger nickel anode passing through the nitrate of Silver solution (a 10% solution soluble with the super-alcoholic content) would be attached last - at the brachial plexus center. These attachments would remain for ten minutes.

7. The next evening, the small copper anode would be attached first - to the 4th lumbar plexus; while the larger nickel anode passing through the atomic iodine (that is, the Atomidine) would be attached last - in the lacteal duct center or to the right portion of the umbilicii or navel center. And these applications would be for thirty minutes.

8. Keep alternating the applications each evening in this manner, and we will bring the more effective and better conditions for this body, overcoming those tendencies for the separation that has been occurring in the body.

9. Each evening (following the wet cell battery applications) we would massage the whole of the cerebrospinal system, especially in the locomotory areas and - of course - to the head, to the toes - a general massage, with the Olive Oil. Massage what the body will absorb at each treatment.

11. (Q) What percentage of normalcy may be expected from these treatments? And in what period of time? (A) There may be expected from a twenty-five to a forty percent change towards normalcy.

12. (Q) What was the original cause of this condition? (A) A destruction of the centers in the lacteals that made for assimilations.

13. (Q) When did this take place? When was it? (A) Temperature!

14. (Q) What type of illness would this be considered? (A) Incoordination.

Do these, and - as we find - we will bring the better forces, the better influences for this body.

R1. 12/19/34 Letter to [746]‘s mother: “I have thought of you and the conversation that we had about your boy quite often. I had hoped that I might have the opportunity to talk with you at some length before I left but, as you know, we were called away very unexpectedly, owing to a very sudden and very untimely death.

“I am wondering if you have been able to get the necessary things together for carrying out the suggestions made for the improvement of the boy. While I realize there was a great deal of change to be made in the mental attitudes of all those surrounding the boy, and while the suggestion, as I remember in the conversation, wasn’t a promise of complete change, apparently it might be carried so far and then there might be help to carry on.

“Know we feel a very personal interest in this, and will be very anxious for you to let us hear from you from time to time. Our whole purpose is to try to be of a service to our fellow man, and I believe you will find that will you follow the suggestions, it will bring not only a greater understanding for yourself, but real improvement for the body.

“Wishing the season’s greetings for you, a happy and prosperous new year, and asking that His blessings be with you and guide you ever, I am…”

R2. 1/26/50 Report by Helen Wenzel, worker on E.C.F. campaign for funds: “Called at home on 1/5. Mrs. [[746]‘s mother?] not at home. Spoke to her son. Told him I would call again.

“Called again at home 1/17. Mrs. [[746]‘s mother] at home. Looked at me as tho’ I were ‘tetched in head’. Knew nothing about a reading, never heard of EC, etc. Her husband said very abruptly ‘not interested.’ Might as well cross them off list.”
