EC: Yes, we have the body here, [758]. This we have had before. The conditions as a whole are very satisfactory in the restoration of the proper coordinations and equilibrium being established in the system. There should be the proper precautions taken in the various characters of vibrations as are set up; also in the manipulations, as has been once pointed out, that there be the proper coordination created in the lumbar and cervical regions. To overtax one is to produce distresses in the other; for, as in those centers that radiate with the sympathetic and cerebrospinal, that have been so long out of balance in the lumbar and lower dorsal region, they produce the pressure and the unbalancing of the impulses through the upper portion, and to the brain centers themselves proper; so when these are relaxed, let’s keep their proper distribution of energy through the manipulative measures as are used; for, as has been oft pointed out, the massage in THIS particular condition, OSTEOPATHICALLY given, is much better than adjustments. That is why the regular, or the properly GIVEN osteopathic treatments make for the better coordination, and allow a normal physical body to be produced, where pressures or improper impulses, and improper distribution of lymph and blood circulation have been hindered in system. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Are all other treatments given properly? (A) As has been given, be cautious about those of the vibratory forces, see? That is, the battery appliances, that they are kept in accord with that as necessary for the pro- ducing of the proper vibratory forces in the impulses of the system, for nerve forces, nerve ganglia, are as that which produces the impulse for the activity of centers in functioning organs, as well as brain cells themselves; for with the brain forces active, each center, each ganglia, from which impulse comes, MUST coordinate. That’s why osteopathy is very good, and better than most treatments.
-
That is all the questions regarding this body.

We are through with this reading.

R1. 7/5/30 EC’s letter to [758]‘s father, Mr. [417]:
Mr. [417] New York City
My dear Mr. [417]
Yours of the 25th received in due time, but I keep so constantly on the go I rarely get to answer my correspondence as I would like. Rest assured that there’s not a day that goes by that we don’t think and speak of you and Mrs. […]. I certainly did enjoy the little visit I had with you on my last trip to New York. While I was really in so much pain most of the evening, I know I wasn’t very good company. I hope you don’t hold it against me, for I know you realize that was the trouble. I’ve been feeling pretty good, though, of late, and getting a little exercise now. I’ve been out on the golf course a time or two, so - as well as going fishing
- you’re going to have to go down on the golf course with me, if you can get up soon enough. I can’t play except very early in the morning.
[758] is getting along fine, and we will certainly try and see that Dr. Lydic looks after the treatments. Of course, right at the present time he is away - at the convention - but the young man that is there [J. C. Wigal, D.O.] is FINE, and he is following the information VERY closely, and I don’t think we will have a re-occurrence of the trouble we had sometime ago. They made a moving picture of [758] the other day, along with some of the rest - and I hope we can show it to you sometime when you are down.
The weather has been very good. Everything is somewhat in a state of expectancy, but will work out - I am sure.
With best love to you both, and hoping to see you soon, I am
Ever the same, EC:GD
