This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of October, 1930, in accordance with request made by his mother, Mrs. [1192].

Time of Reading Cayce Hospital, 3:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Virginia Beach, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: We have the body here, [758] - this we have had before. Now, we find the general physical conditions show much the same as we have had before. There are the continued changes, as the natural developments of the physical body indicate, and with the continued applications, as we find, there will be the continued developments. There needs be that control of the mental forces in the directed channels, that the coordinations in same be in keeping with the developments mentally, as developments physically. The applications in the various vibratory forces for the body should be kept in accord, in contact, when the attachment is made to body. These, as we find, will assist in bringing the proper ratio of the activity in the mental reactions, and the physical reactions of the body.

3. (Q) Have all treatments been given correctly? (A) There might have been changes more in accord with that last outline in the manipulative forces, as to make for the better accord between the nerve forces in the lumbar and in the cervical regions. In the PRESENT, these are better.

4. (Q) Is body responding as well as expected? (A) The body is responding in an EVEN way and manner. Because there come those periods when there seems to be as of a standstill, or periods of not progressing as fast, these are natural conditions - and only needs be that there be kept that same attitude, that same reaction physically and mentally, as is kept and given in the manner these should be held, in a MENTAL attitude as well as applications of same to the physical body.

5. (Q) What was meant in previous reading by body will reach normalcy by August of this year, and what is keeping him back? (A) The backwardness is through the incoordination or responses as made between sympathetic and cerebro-spinal system. The activity of the brain forces is GOOD. The responses in the actions of body mentally and physically FROM those IMPULSES are in a refractory manner. Hence the incoordination as results from same. Keep that application in a proper manner, and we will find the responses.

6. (Q) Is it advisable to keep body at Greene’s school [Prof. Francis H. Greene’s School for Boys.], or would body derive more mental development with Miss Barclay? [Miss Lillian Barclay’s School] (A) While those actions of the body mental and physical are best as group, or as following groups - yet this may be made best in the COORDINATING sense by the individual treatments, as is seen in individual training.

7. (Q) In what way can power of concentration be developed in this body? (A) Little by little concentration is developed, as the COORDINATING forces of the body allows same to become the more active in reflexes, and to overtax or overstrain only makes for mental reactions that become incoordinating - but positive yet sympathetic, and in a LOVABLE, EVEN manner may this be gained, by the suggestions and the activities with the developing forces of the body.

8. (Q) Is body musically inclined, and if so is musical instruction beneficial at this time? (A) Musically inclined, and - as has been given - will make a mark in this direction, if given the opportunity and the incentives in that direction.

9. (Q) Is musical instruction beneficial at this time? (A) Beneficial, but not to OVERTAX it - yet the constant suggestion as comes with the musical directions, this aids through the coordinating of sound with action, to make for concentration.

10. (Q) Will speech correction come naturally, or should it be forced by tutoring? (A) Come naturally, and is gradually DEVELOPING better - as the developments physically and mentally coordinate the better.

11. (Q) Why doesn’t body cut through side teeth and is a dental examination necessary? (A) A dental examination would be well. The developing body, in its various formations in the system, lacks the proper amount of that necessary to create in same the full developments in this direction.

12. (Q) If osteopathic treatments have to be stopped temporarily, should battery treatments be continued without them? (A) Should be continued.

13. (Q) Will a life reading be beneficial to the body? (A) Be beneficial in the UNDERSTANDING of the body and the body’s TEMPERAMENTS, as well as afflictions.

14. (Q) What musical instrument should he begin with? (A) He should begin with the piano, because that’s direction by hand as well as by eye and speech.
