EC: Yes, we have the body, [758] here. This we have had before. Now the general conditions are on the improve. There are better coordinating forces in the sympathetic and cerebro-spinal system. Also coordination in the sensory and sympathetic. The changes in the manipulations since last we had same have been beneficial for the best for the body. We would keep that same vibratory force for the body. Also those manipulations and adjustments as are now being occasionally made. These may not be made all of a sudden without a retraction that would be detrimental for the time, at least. Be mindful of the diet, and do not allow drosses to accumulate in the system, and keep eliminations as near in proper coordination as may be possible. With the changes there will be seen a change in the coordination of sympathetic and sensory, and will be necessary that precaution be taken as respecting the vision and the speech as these changes come about. Changing the lens to meet the needs of the conditions. Well were they changed now, and we will find that these should occur - that is, the changes - about every four to six months, until the vision is strengthened and the coordination nearer normal. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Is is well for mother to leave body at Cayce Hospital in charge of nurse? (A) Would be safe.
-
(Q) Are battery treatments given correctly? (A) Very good. We haven’t changed them.
-
(Q) What is meant by being careful of diet? (A) Not any condition that would upset the stomach, as too much sweets - or too much sour, or too much of ANY element that tends to clog the system when changes are being made in system makes or produces a sensitiveness and a quick reaction through same to the system, if the stomach or intestines are overloaded.
-
(Q) What oculist or optician would be advisable? (A) Any good optometrist should be able to fit and adjust the glass for this body. Walker, or Kyson (?), or Carl (?), or Hall [G. L. Hall Optical Co. where EC had glasses fitted], or Salasky (?) [Salasky Optical Co., Stanley Salasky or his father?]. Any of these are close, and would be well.
-
(Q) Outline a detailed plan of study for the body. (A) Any that causes definite following of the thought that is attempted to be given the body. As in constructive thought of building, rotating, drawing. These, of course, are particularly in line with the mental abilities of the body - in building, drawing, lining, circling, colors, changing of things, putting of combinations together, and such.
-
(Q) Any other advice regarding this body? (A) Do these for the present.
-
That is all the questions regarding this body.

R1. 11/29/29 EC’s ltr. to Mrs. [1381]: “The best way I can tell you how [758] is getting along is to relate an incident that happened just Wed. afternoon. He came in - went to the desk
- said he was going to write to [417] to come and get him - he wanted to go home. He opened the desk and got out a piece of paper and pen. Mrs. Atkinson [Sara C. Atkinson, sect’y] walked over and tried to get him to use a pencil instead of pen. He kept on writing, with Mrs. A. insisting that he take the pencil. He looked up and said, ‘You better get busy. I’m busy.’ Mrs. [1192] is home for Thanksgiving. He is with the nurse, of course, and getting along fine. It seems to me that I can see improvement almost every day.”
