This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of July, 1929, in accordance with request made by his parents, Mr. [257] and Mrs. [903].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [759]. This we have had before. Now, in the physical developments of - the body, these we find very good in many respects, and the normal, nominal developments are taking place with and for the body. While those conditions incident to the over amount of heat created in system causing distresses through the activity of the eliminations, especially in the colon, this, as is seen, is being at present assisted through the character of the foods being administered, and will the body only be kept quiet, cool, there needs be little fear of this not being properly corrected.

2. Well that small quantities of the lactics, or lacteals, with chalk or bismuth, be given occasionally - but do not upset the system by dosing - for the body may be developed near normal without medicines. These are corrective principles, then, and not as of those of any over therapeutic activity. Rather the therapeutic effect in system. The foods are well to be changed, as soon as there is sufficient clearing up of this condition through the pylorus and the colon. These need not cause worry, unless worry is given too much to the developing body.

3. As for the character of foods, those preferably would be of the dried milks that may be kept in a uniform way and manner, and the modification of the character of same may be changed by the quantity of water added or taken from.

5. (Q) What causes the throat condition and what should be done to relieve same? (A) Massage the cervical region and turn body in such activities as does not throw the cervical reaction in the 4th and 5th centers so much on the throat. Massage it gently.

6. (Q) Is he on his stomach too much? (A) Not too much - but so have the activities that it is not constantly thrown BACK; that is, the head looking back.

7. (Q) Should he be placed in the sand at Virginia Beach, and how long? (A) If sand is dry, WELL. Not damp sand nor too hot, nor too cold - but a gradual increase of the period from five to thirty minutes would be well, for this surrounding is peculiarly adapted for children.

8. (Q) What time of the day would be best? (A) From nine to ten of morning or three to four in afternoon.

9. (Q) Has the traveling been detrimental? (A) Only in the manner in which it has been outlined, that so much heat tends to overtax the pylorus portions of the system, through the variations in the foods as are changed through the surroundings, see?

10. (Q) What caused the diarrhea while in Asheville? (A) Letting the bottle stand too long before it was cleansed!

11. (Q) Should he have any cereals or orange juice? (A) These should come as soon as this condition is cleared sufficiently, see?

12. (Q) Did the milk taken in Asheville undiluted have to do with the diarrhea? (A) This too strong, of course, with this added condition, see?

13. (Q) What vicinity or address in New York would be best for welfare of this baby and its parents? (A) Where there may be sufficient of the air that is as little contaminated as is possible. Still higher up would be well, and in or about the present surroundings would be very well.

14. (Q) Is his present nurse trustworthy in the care of the baby? (A) Should be watched rather closely. While the body is in its developing stages there should be particular care and attention given to the way it handles or uses itself. Not as much attention is paid by the nurse to these as there should be. In other respects, fairly trustworthy.

15. We are through for the present.
