This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 105th Street & Ocean, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of July, 1931, in accordance with request made by her husband - Mr. [779].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [780] - this we have had before. The conditions have become so acute, it has been necessary for immediate activity. When the conditions have been allayed somewhat under the applications as have been administered, we would give as these for the correction of those disorders, and for the relieving of that as has been PRODUCING the distention and disorder in the caecum region:

2. We would take the green ragweed 6 ounces, in 16 ounces distilled water. Reduce this by slow boiling to 1/2 the quantity. Strain while warm. Take 1 ounce wild ginseng in 6 ounces of distilled water. Reduce this by slow boiling to 2 ounces. Then add the 2 solutions together, with 1 ounce simple syrup and 3 ounces of grain alcohol - 85% to 95%. Shake solution together when the dose is taken, and the dose would be teaspoonful 3 to 4 times a day,until there is the entire relieving of the pressure in the alimentary canal. Also we will find that this will change the difference in those conditions as have disturbed the blood supply.

3. For the NAUSEA in the present, we would use those of equal parts limewater, cinnamon water, adding to same - to the ounce of each - 10% solution Iodide of Potassium 20 minims, 10% solution Bromide of Potassium 10 minims. The dose would be a teaspoonful in a little water every thirty to forty minutes until the stomach is settled, and fever is allayed. Ready for questions.

R3. 8/10/31 Husband’s letter: “We were in a bad fix for a while when [780] was suffering so we had to call in a doctor for relief. She had a kind of acute attack of rheumatism. She could not move a limb for several days because in so doing she would almost go into convulsions from pain.”

R4. 8/21/31 Her letter: “I am sorry to report that Mr. […] has been unable to get the tonic for me, so will have to ask another favor of you. Will you see if you can get if for me. Well, I feel good at times but I don’t feel like I did before I got sick. I haven’t the use of my left limb like I once had. It still seems like it goes to sleep at times, but I know when I get my medicine I will be O.K.”

R5. 9/13/31 “I want to thank you for sending me the medicine. I rec’d it Friday evening, started taking it Sat. morning. I was so glad to get it, as I could feel little pains at times.”

R6. 9/24/31 Mr. [779]‘s letter: “[780] is taking the prescription and seems to be getting stronger.”

R7. 5/1/32 “Looking better, gaining back flesh.”

R8. 7/23/33 “[780] got up this morning with a little touch of that condition she had two years ago about this time. I hope she will be able to overcome it.”
