This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce in San Saba, Texas, this 23rd day of April, 1923, in accordance with request by [80]”s mother, [81].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see. Now we find the general conditions in this body are improved greatly from that we had before, while we do not have the perfect coordination direct, or the perfect control of some of the nerves and muscles to some of the organs of the sensory system on account of the lesion physical as we find about the first and second cervical, those governing the flow of nutriment of nerve and blood from body to head through the nerve channels or bases themselves. This lesion must be removed as well as have been altogether, almost, the ones along the upper dorsal region.

2. We would apply the heat with the osteopathic massage to this body, see, that preferably of the alternating character, once of vapor heat, then the direct or strong electric heat and the massage at the time will give the better effect to the body and will respond and remain in response to the treatments for the whole physical body. Beware of the incorrect diet for the body with its developing stages through the cycle of puberty, see, so that the developing of all of the functional nerve centers may be well in outline with the conditions throughout the system. Do that, see.

3. (Q) Mr. Cayce, how would this heat be applied? (A) We have just given that - first, with the vapor heat, next with the dry direct rays, see.

4. (Q) How is the vapor heat given? (A) Applied to the body along the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cervical - vapor from Aqua Pura (Water).

5. (Q) What do you mean by dry direct rays, Mr. Cayce? (A) We mean dry direct rays from high power voltage light, electrical heat. Do as we have given if we would bring the correct forces to this body.

R1. 1/13/24 Letter: “Dr. Woodall has been treating [80] ever since your first reading for him and he has been able to perfectly correct the lesions except the ones at the base of the brain which have proved stubborn. He is now using the hot water and electricity with his treatments, as your last reading for him prescribed. [80] is looking splendid; has grown real stout and I am hoping that in time these treatments will help his eyes… Later I want you to give my boy another reading.”

R2. 2/13/24 Letter: “We got the Maypop tincture [Pasadyne] from […] Drug Store; it is manufactured by John B. Daniels, Atlanta, Ga.”

B1. 4/8/23 Mother [81]‘s letter: “Dr. Woodall asked me to write and say that he has been treating my boy for over 5 months now and that the lesions at the 8th and 9th dorsal have yielded to his treatments but that the one at the 1st cervical has not, and he is anxious to have you know and see if there is anything that you can recommend. In his opinion the one at the 1st cervical is the most important and he has worked very faithfully on it. My son [80] has developed greatly and is looking much better, but for the past 6 weeks he has seemed very nervous, jerks his head backward and forward a great deal. He has taken his medicine regularly, and I believe that your reading has been carried out thoroughly. He has 3 osteopathic treatments a week and never misses a time. Any suggestions you could make would be greatly appreciated by us… About this time last year my son had one of those nervous spells and I am so anxious to do anything we can for him right away…”
