This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 25th day of August, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

Time of Reading 3:20 P. M. Dayton Savings Time. Deal, N.J.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of … Road, Deal, N.J., and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lessons of each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions regarding any of these that I will ask you.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body and the mind here, and the dreams as we see that come to this body from time to time are the experiences necessary for the mental forces to gain the insight into the spiritual laws as are manifested in material manner. These, as we find, are as would be termed psychic phenomena, or the spiritual law using those forces of the mental forces, or the subconscious and soul forces, to give the inductive force of reason as may be put into practical usage in a material force. Well to judge between those of a spiritual lesson and that as may be used for material gains. Ready for dreams.

3. (Q) Saturday, August 22, on train N.Y. to Deal. Was in a hurry to get some place, so speeded in automobile and noticed my car license number being taken. When I arrived at destination, policeman stopped me as they had taken my number. I thought: “What is the use of hurrying if you are held up on the road this way?” (A) This, as we see, the lesson to be gained: A picturalization of the conditions that might or could come to the body physically, financially or mentally, from physical viewpoint, by the hurry, as it were, to gain the workable end of the lessons as are seen from time to time. That is, the successes of the individual are noted, as well as every other condition regarding body, and there will be ever those who would seek to gain undue advantage through the entity, and such would bring the destructive forces to the entity. Again, as has been given, do not force the issue. Rather wait on the Lord, gathering those inner feelings that give the more perfect understanding of the fullness of His grace and power, when we are in obeisance to His laws, His will, see?

4. (Q) Sunday morning, August 23, at home in Deal. “Saw the stock of some chain store corporations. It seemed to be drugstores. (A) (Interrupting) “United Drug Stores.”

5. (Q) (Continuing) I sold the stock and repurchased at a profit, then bought the stock and sold out at a profit. Then I again sold the stock short and covered it at $1 per share. Then I saw the abbreviation for United Cast Iron Pipe Stock; namely C.J.” (A) These, as we see, again those manifestations to the entity through those forces that are, as it were, fully understandable to the individual, and are shown rather as lessons of the entity’s understanding, and that the entity may correlate these conditions, as succeeding conditions will come as regarding specific stock, see? Then, these are given, not so much as for usage in dollars and cents; making as in the spiritual sense, see? for as the entity studies these various conditions, with the desires to be in the position to understand and gain full knowledge and be able to give “I have proven it!” then these are as ensamples, as experiences, as conditions that have and do become a portion of the purely MENTAL experience of SPIRITUAL laws manifesting through material things, see?

6. (Q) To what stock does the chain store stock refer to? (A) Given.

7. (Q) What does this dream indicate I should now do with that stock? (A) Rather to watch than delve or deal in same, see?

8. (Q) What does this dream indicate I should do at the present time with United Cast Iron Pipe Stock? Buy it or sell it short at present levels? (A) This, as given, the entity may use as has been outlined. He, himself, individually, shall determine as to whether he shall make a physical, material, demonstration of lessons as gained. Rather those as given, see? for as has been given, the Forces present those in a specific, direct manner when same shall be used for his convenience, as it were, and then in a given specified manner.
