This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of October, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of 74 Broadway, Office Block, Maloney & Co., New York City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lessons to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind here, with dreams that have come to the body from time to time. These, as we see, in their various stages, show the development of the entity and the co-relation of subconscious forces with physical, presenting in emblematical form various lessons as may be used in the physical life of this body, for with the gaining of the understanding of the spiritual laws as govern the spiritual action in physical life, the concept of the manifestations as are presented to the body in that state when the subconscious becomes the mind and the ruling force of the physical body, many insights to the reason, cause and effects of phenomenized conditions in a phenomenized world may be seen, experienced and lessons gained from same that will give the truer meaning to all life. Ready for dreams.

3. (Q) Saturday Morning, Sept. 12, 1925, at home in Deal. “We were all in a school room, the blackboard in front of us. We were told certain stocks would sell at certain prices. Among them we were told Pacific Oil would sell at 66. I stood up as though to recite a lesson and named the stocks and their advances properly except Pacific Oil, for on turning to the backboard, I saw the sixes gone over in chalk and made sevens, so that Pacific Oil price read like this [‘77’ directly written over ‘66’]. ‘I thought Pacific Oil was to sell at 66’ I remarked. ‘All the others are only one or two points higher as we were given and I recited. How is it Pacific Oil suddenly changed to 77?’” (A) In this we find the co-relations of the conditions in physical forces and given in the subconscious in a manner in which the physical may gain the impress of that action as takes place in the phenomenized world, for this as seen is passed, and with the study of this, with conditions that have come to pass, the body learns that lesson wherein that, as has been given, the spirit of those directing any given stock makes that physical change in the physical world, while the spirit of that element or stock, or the directors of same, hold same at some given price. Then, when such information is given in the direct manner, instead of in that of the emblematical, as seen here, the entity may use same, see?

4. (Q) May I use this for my own convenience and benefit of others by purchasing Pacific Oil at present prices, anticipating to sell Pacific Oil at 66, or depending on other physical forces, 77? (A) This, as given, a phenomena presented in that manner, as is seen in others when given on board in school, as lessons rather than as use, until the full law governing such is made applicable in the life of the entity. Then, as these are past conditions, use the physical action as has actually existed with this application of the spiritual law as pertains to same, and we will gain the insight into that law governing same and be ready for the application of same, physically, when same occurs again, in this or some other stock, see? Not to be used, then, under present conditions, for this is passed, see? While its one in one for lesson and study rather than use, for as seen, this from schoolroom rather than from direct action on same, and the recitation of the various quotations as is seen, yet the change in this giving the lesson to the entity how such comes about in the physical world, as related to that seen in a phenomenized world or spiritual forces, see?

5. (Q) “Voice: ‘Now the water is come to wash it all away.’ I replied, ‘Aw it has not. Why we aren’t even finished our triangular battle.’” (A) In this is seen rather that of the spiritual forces as come from the superconscious forces to the subconscious in the representation of the deeper lesson as is to be gained from that as has been often given of old, “All shall be saved so as by water,” see? for as the Children of Promise passed through the Red Sea and were all baptized unto Moses, in the Cloud and in the Sea, the lesson then is as of the cleansing of the physical forces to that pure water, that, as is given, to be the work of spiritual forces, or as is seen again as cleansing with the waters, see? for this becomes necessary in the putting away of those that so easily beset, coming nearer unto that perfect understanding of the spiritual laws of the God manifest in the physical world.

6. (Q) Saturday Afternoon, Sept. 12, 1925, on R.R. train from N.Y. to Deal. Voice: “What do you think this is - a Baby Game?” (A) This the recapitulation of that as just given. Study then into that insight of how each individual is the handiwork of the Creator and subject to those laws as all are, see?

7. (Q) Sunday Morning, Sept. 13, at home in Deal. “I entered a pawn shop and submitted my precious Sunday School medal for appraisal. The pawn shop man said, ‘I’ll give you $800.00 for it.’ ‘That much?’ I queried. He nodded yes - it was valuable. ‘Well,’ I commented, ‘I really don’t altogether need it urgently, but I’ll take it. I know I’ll be able to pay it back real soon, so its only a matter of form.’ ‘What name?’ asked the man. ‘O, use such and such a name,’ I answered, giving him a false name, for I looked and [140] and others and wanted to hide my source of money. ‘You see,’ I justified myself, ‘It is only for temporary use - I am really [900] and will soon pay it back.’ He tore off half the ticket and gave it to me, but I noted he used the name [900]. ‘No,’ I said. ‘Use the name […] not [900].’ He gave me the money and motioned me away. ‘O well, what does it matter,’ I reasoned, ‘I’ll soon pay you back.’ He wasn’t interested.” (A) This we find, in its interpretation, the physical mind as viewing that of the spiritual laws as are being studied by the entity, [900]. The usage of those laws as are being gained knowledge of, are for the real inner man and not of the temporal forces, and should be used in that way and manner and not as that in which the forces may be expected to expend themselves in the way and manner to become one ashamed of using in the manner as is seen in the pawning of almost the invaluable forces as are gained by the merits meted from the study of the Word of the Creator, see? Then study this well and apply same to the individual life, in the study of those forces as pertain to spiritual elements and are being used in temporal things.
