This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Cambridge Hotel, Apt. 103, 60 West 68th Street, New York City, New York, this 18th day of January, 1925, in accordance with request made by [900].

1. [900]: You will have before you the two books, one written by the body, Edgar Cayce, in a psychic state [3744], the other an analysis of that book by the body, [900], present in this room. You will have before you the enquiring mind of the body, [900], and will answer questions as relating to this subject matter, so as to be understandable by the mind of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the data here, and the analysis of same, with the enquiring mind of [900]. The analysis as written, as has been given, is such as to make the subject matter more understandable to those seeking the information upon such subject matter, for we find the mind as gives that interpretation in the analysis correlates with the data as given, for as has been given, the body, the mind of [900], has that ability to give that explanation in the physical forces, as such may be understood to other minds. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Explain in detail the law of relativity. (A) This law of relativity we find, as has been given, relates to the law as was set in motion in the beginning, when the Universe as a whole came into existence.

As related to the mind, and to the earth conditions, we find first beginning with that of the earth in its position, with the other elements about same. These became the law of the relative position regarding the spheres, and as there begun the lowest form of the animal and mineral, and vegetable, forces in the earth, we begun with all relative condition regarding those conditions from other spheres, and their relations to same.

In the mind, then, and the soul forces as was given in man, in his creation, bears its relation then to all other forces in the Universe, and as man’s mind developed in the earth’s forces, the seeking to find those relations still remaining that relative force as exercised in an earth plane; each bearing its relation to the other, just as the planetary system is to earth and its relation to each and every kingdom as presented itself in its relation to the earth condition, and to those of the Creator and the Created, and as we find, then, in the soul’s development to reach that plane wherein the whole entity may become one with that creative forces, that creative energy, that Oneness with the God, this we find needs then that development through all the planes in the Universal Forces, or throughout the Universe. Hence the necessity of developing in that plane. All bearing, then, the relative condition, position, action, state of being, to that creative force, and that created.

As we would have, as is shown in the earth’s plane from the elements about the earth, all combination in chemical form begins a form of condition with force, less the creative plasm of the entity, the being, to give reproduction in itself, that energy, that first force, that spirit agent; in such being the relative force to all life giving forces. Hence, in its development, each bearing its relation, and its relative relation, to those conditions upon which the existence of such force depends.

4. (Q) Have the lower forms of creation, such as animals, should, or [do they have] any life in the spirit plane? (A) All have the spirit force. The man, as made, carrying the soul force, that made equal with the Creator in the beginning, in that of relative production in its (man’s) plane of existence. Hence the necessity of development of that soul energy. Only when reached in that of the man, do we find the soul complete in the earth’s entities, for in man we find both the spirit entity and the physical entity, as we see exemplified in this body, mind, here of [900].

5. (Q) What is meant by position as an attribute to the soul? (A) That meaning, in this instance as given, as of the relative position of the development of the soul through the earth’s plane, in which it manifests the development attained in relative positions in the spheres through which the soul passes.

6. (Q) Explain, “So those things that do appear to have reality, and their reality to the human mind, have in reality passed into past conditions before they have reached the mind, for with the earth’s laws and its relation to other spheres has man become a past condition.” (A) This relates to that of the spiritual law in its relative forces in the earth planes, or that of a finite mind attempting to comprehend the laws of the infinite mind, for before ANY condition exists in the finite mind, it has become a past condition, relatively spoken, from the infinite mind. As we have in the earth’s sphere, when the light from the planets, or any of the elements in solar system, cast their shadow, or light, upon the earth’s element, for such conditions have passed into space before it can be a conscious condition to the human consciousness. Again the relative conditions in the earth’s plane, or sphere, as related to the spiritual conditions, or laws, for as would again be sought, one who would understand the infinite mind must approach that with the finite in such condition as to receive that spiritual insight into such relations, must less conditions.

7. (Q) How may the conscious mind be brought to this condition? (A) The conscious mind CANNOT be brought to this condition.

8. (Q) Explain “The destiny of man lies within the sphere or scope of the planets.” (A) That each and every entity passes through the sphere or scope, or plane, of each planet, and each existence must have its relation to such an entity.

9. (Q) Explain how, why, and in what manner, planets influence an individual at birth? (A) As the entity is born into the earth’s plane, the relation to that planet, or that sphere, from which the spirit entity took its flight, or its position, to enter the earth plane, has the greater influence in the earth’s plane. Just as the life lived in the earth’s plane directs to what position the spirit entity takes in the sphere.

10. (Q) What is meant by “influence of the planets in and about earth’s plane is deficient?” (A) In this relation, as given, that as has been generally taught in times past, not the existent conditions from the spirit plane.
