This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of April, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

Time of Reading 7:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of … St., N.Y. City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from each of these, as I read them to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [900]. Ready for dreams.

3. (Q) Morning of April 15, 1927. Herbert Herff came up to me and told me to read something he had written. “Read this, ‘Far Away,’” he said to me sneeringly, meaning to call me by the name Far Away, or a dreamer, not practical, etc. I read it and it was all about bets, wagers and money owed. I handed it back, bored and disgusted. “Far Away tho I am,” I replied, “I have written and am writing more worth while things than that.” He mocked me laughingly. (A) In this there is seen that the sensuous consciousness of the entity is beholden to that of the reaction from what others say, yet as seen the inner consciousness is aware of both conditions, or, as is seen, Herbert Herff represents to the body consciousness of this entity an element or condition, or a certain class of peoples, and the action as is felt is as a portion of that dread that lies within of what may be called earth consciousness, see? or sensuous consciousness; while as that from within is as the understanding of both sensuous and mental and cosmic consciousness, and is as a study for the body. Do that.

4. (Q) [137] and I down in a cellar, [137] seemingly acting as a critic of my writings. He approved and I turned to Herff and said: “You see, it is as [137] says. What I write is good, but I never finish what I start.” “Alright,” said Herff, “Then finish it up and lets have a look at it.” (A) Again and again we find these same elements in the inner consciousness of the body are as urging the body onward to complete, begin, commence, to give out some of those truths attained, see? for, as we see again, both the consciousness of the entity and of the body gains that concept of peoples representing conditions and elemental conditions, see? states of being of various consciousnesses. See?

5. (Q) A market letter written on many subjects, including stock market and signed by signature as follows: G E O R G E L Y N N. (A) This representing to the entity those conditions as are gained through that of telepathic, rather than of dream, or vision as regarding individual who would, through those associations of stock, be inclined toward the work the entity studies. Representing, then, an individual, and the entity will see, hear, more of same, see?

6. (Q) What was this letter? (A) As given, the entity will see and hear more of same. Letter representing this new interest or entering in of others.

7. (Q) Who is George Lynn? (A) More of this LATER, as GIVEN!

8. (Q) Morning of April 16, 1927. My father appeared to me. It has been some time since I have recognized him as my interviewer - i.e. since his consciousness has turned to and crossed this section of the creative spirit force, called the “Borderland,” and there met in union with my own, which establishes the law that when a cosmic and sensuous consciousness meet each experience the other from its own viewpoint and each understands the other according to its understanding of the knowledge that composes the awareness of the other. My father indicated my mother and wrote and underlined several things about her. He said: “She is lonesome often, very, very lonesome at times.” (A) These, as we see, again present to the entity these very definite conditions as are seen regarding individual actions and the relations and correlations of each with these other elements as are considered, and as the entity gains these greater concepts of the various forms or conditions in consciousness, and their action and activity one towards another, the entity finds, and will find, that with the correlation of that as received will give also to the entity that action as should be taken in regard to such conditions, and these may be worked out as individual, for only as to individual may these be received in their proper way and manner. See? That is, as this condition becomes necessary to be met, this same guiding force, these same channels, will again be open to the entity, as to how and to what extent the entity shall exercise its action or prerogatives, see?

9. (Q) My father told me that I could bring people back to life, in certain cases, and under certain conditions, as the Master did, and he demonstrated how I could do this by putting his mouth to mine and letting me blow my breath into his lungs. “Is that the way the Master restored life or sensuousness to the dead, or those just changing consciousness to the cosmic?” I asked. He indicated that it was. (A) In this again there is that just as given, the indication that the guide gives, will give to the entity, those lessons, truths, and understandings necessary for the entity from period to period, when the entity puts self in that attunement to receive same, even as the lessons as were given in this vision, see?

10. (Q) Gradually I am learning to explain in terms of cosmic understanding those truths given in the Bible, just as I recently gained some understanding of that meant by Jonah and the whale, but I have never been able to comprehend the overcoming of death. The Master put the breath of life back into the dead young man, saying: “I say young man, arise!” He did rise fully restored to sensuous life. Now of course if I could learn to overcome death in myself - i.e. in my own inner consciousness, I might not only accomplish that which I hope for in my heart and soul - i.e. after using my life to give the world the explanation of those truths I may like the Master return to prove to the doubting Thomases the great ability of application in terms of creation, of the fully awakened consciousness, but also accomplish the restoration of life (sensuousness) I mean to certain individuals in individual cases where cosmic permission to do so is gained. That is to say, what I learn to do for myself I may do for others, the latter permitting. This seemed to be an actual indication that I was heading for this power, as shown in the next. Explain this to me - i.e. the restoration of sensuousness to the subconscious, say in a young man after the latter has just changed from sensuousness and yet sleeps in the whale - i.e. in the world or this section. Oxygen tanks are now used, often without avail. Is the oxygen tank that indicated, or what? (A) This is indicated that the entity, [900], gaining - gaining - little by little, that full concept of the understanding as is necessary to overcome sensuousness in the material and in the cosmic consciousness, and as the body becomes able to supply same in self, so will it, the body, be able to apply same in the affairs of others. Never as a sign or an indication to those who would not believe, see? for the entity will gain, little by little, little by little, how these are accomplished. Do not attempt to grasp too much of same at one time. Study rather to show self in that way and manner as to know what to do with same when acquired in self, and not abuse same.
