This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of May, 1929, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

Time of Reading 10:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Dream Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [900] - this we have had before. Ready for dreams.

2. (Q) Last night. I was in conversation, and I was told, “The business earnings and business in general is good, in spite of the funny situation. As specific instances, the developments on Capitol Hill,” and then I saw our Capitol account as figured by the accountant, and I said, “He figures it that way, but it isn’t really there,” meaning that it was more of a bookkeeping entry than an actuality. Then a conversation with Howard Block regarding buying bargain in Hardware. (A) This, as seen, emblematical to the body, and, as is understood, refers to the general conditions in business, especially as related to the capital and investments as are general in price quotations at the present time, showing to the entity at this present position, as to how many of the so-called popular stocks are in THIS position, that the capital invested, and that as is shown by the actual returns and price of stock, are as entries. While they present actual conditions, yet the ACTUALITY of conditions are much different. While this, as seen, may be considered as not logical, or good business, yet, as is seen by the conversation, that there are many bargains in the various commodities that may be had during these changing periods; for each and every condition is presented in that as seen in the present situation, and as the body is cognizant of being in the position of seeing, knowing the actuality and the relative price, the relative conditions, then will the body - as is shown in the other dreams and experiences - but correlate same from time to time, there may come a change and a great difference in the outcome of conditions. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Another dream, recently, in relationship to Sears-Roebuck, regarding push ball being shoved diagonally across the field, yet finally and gradually reaching the goal. (A) This that as has been given as respecting the advance of this particular stock, and these, as we find, will continue to advance in this irregular fashion until the goal is reached. In this particular situation, [900], there is, as has been presented to the body, a DIFFERENT SITUATION from that as of a GENERAL condition in the market; for in the change of the personnel and the handling of this particular expansion (Sears-Roebuck) there is the evidence of a real growth, and while other conditions that are adverse to this particular interest are active, yet these are showing the real returns, and must show same on paper as well, that the expansions as are contemplated by the conductors of same may be accomplished. Then, as there is given the various changes from period to period, follow them. These will advance still, yet from the present we would say wait for the next decline, would the better returns be made; for these will come as the days advance, until the goal is reached. Yet they present, even at the 162 & 3/8, as at present, a profit.

4. (Q) In the light of the experience had last night, what is indicated regarding my development, as respecting my return? Is there an indication that it will be necessary for me to return? or just what is indicated by it? (A) As given, rather as an illustration of that as has been given respecting the general conditions and the reaction of an individual as respecting same. As to how retarded development for an individual entity is accomplished in the various forms, even as an individual may - through the variation of self’s own appreciation or understanding of self - gain or lose, in just the same manner as represented in figures, or as represented in stock quotations. The self used as the example of the understanding of that given as respecting GENERAL conditions.

5. (Q) You would advise waiting a few days before re-buying Sears-Roebuck? (A) Just as given. WE would give, advise waiting for a lower price, yet this at the PRESENT quotation is a buy. Use own self’s judgement as respecting same, but be prepared - if this were taken at the present - to have to margin.

6. (Q) Is Kennecot Copper a good short sale? (A) We haven’t any copper!

7. (Q) Any further advice for [900]? (A) Much may be said as respecting the varied conditions as are presented to the body in the visions seen, yet, as given, each must make the application for self, to gain the better understanding and the real results of same. We are through for the present.
