This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 3rd day of April, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - [900].

Time of Reading … Street, 3:00 P. M. Dayton Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will have before you the body of [900], and the dreams this body had in the early morning hours of March 21st and 24th [Night of March 23rd or morning of March 24th], at his Apartment …, … Street, New York City, New York. You will give the interpretation and the lessons to be gained from these, in such a manner that will be understandable to the mind of [900]. You will give them as I read them to you. I will read the first dream of March 21st, as given in his words: (Reading Dream) [“About a rip or hole that I got in a new straw hat which seemed not at all serious, nothing to worry about, yet later turned out to be bad defect, inciting criticism.”]

2. EC: In this we again find, as has been given in others, that co-relation of the mental forces of individuals as acted upon by the mentality of the subconscious force through the individual visualizing same in that called dream, and the lessons as are gathered from this are those as has been as interpretation, or as has been given aforetime, “That given is for Man’s learning and understanding, and should be studied as such.”

3. (Q) Is that all in regard to the first dream? (A) Nothing more.

4. (Q) I will read the second dream. (Reading) [Girl friend angel-like descending, others didn’t see her. “Was my guide, my father, showing me this, not to let her material-minded husband and such deter me from spiritual?”] (A) In this we see the difference that lies in that of the visions as pertain to dream, and that of the vision given in an emblematical way and wholly of the subconscious forces, gaining its knowledge from super-conscious conditions as acted upon by the thought, intent and purpose of individuals in a material world, and this then comes as the lesson: The vision of the individual descending representing that knowledge as would come to this body when sought, yet unknown, unthought of, unheralded, undesired by many of those who should be the ones that should seek out to understand and know just this knowledge, and as the conditions partake of the material desires in the physical world, and how each individual would be shocked, mortified, at the questions and questionable talk of individuals, concerning that which is knowledge and justice, yet the understanding of that knowledge brings glory, whole satisfaction, answering of desires in every form that is only the lasting endeavor to the individuals. This then the lessons: Do not hinder, do not give way to those that would make of the knowledge as may be acquired, attained, in the present sphere, for those that come only of earth earthly. Cast not aside that desire for knowledge, but seek to give the clearer understanding to those who seek for that City without foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Just as we have also in those visions as come to the body on the 26th. We find in this represented of two different conditions and positions. As these in the separate or individual, these in one are individual; that of and pertaining to the material relations between associates and of material things being of the mental forces, correlated with subconscious conditions acting in the mind of each. While that of the voice is of the answer from within, giving that others are depending upon this entity for life itself, and the guide ITSELF may seek, with that understanding, to become a part in the physical life of the individual [See questioning of this under 900-62, 4/14/25], through that coming to the life in the present earth’s plane. “Seek and Ye shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you.”
