This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of November, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [903].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. In the changes or alterations as come about in the development of conditions in system, these - as we find - at times cause some uneasiness to the body, from the apparent change IN conditions from that as experienced by the body under similar circumstances. These changes, in the greater part, however, we find are of the natural changes, and with proper precautions as to diet, as to that through the various stages of the developments as are necessary to supply the needs of those conditions being formed in the body, and bodies, there should be little or SOON no great inconvenience experienced by the body, if these precautions are taken; that is, be mindful that there are no undue excitements, either of a mental or physical nature; that there are no injuries to the body, especially in the region of the mammary glands; that there are the proper eliminations through alimentary canal, though do not dose self with medications too often to accomplish this - rather alter same by diet and by mental attitudes; be mindful that there are not irritations for the kidneys, or that they overwork too much; that - with the changes in the system - there is not TOO much done to the teeth during this period, but that there is sufficient calcium in the foods taken in system to SUPPLY the necessary structural portions in the development of the body itself, as well as of the body dependent upon same. Ready for questions.

  2. (Q) What will relieve pains in breast? (A) These are not of such a severe nature as to be too MUCH given or done for same, but when such IS severe there may be applied equal portions of spirits of camphor, turpentine and mutton tallow or suet - these on flannels, heated and applied, will relieve the distress. Don’t use too often; only under extreme conditions.

  3. (Q) What exercise should body take daily? (A) The best exercise is walking in the open, and these should be well balanced with the physical, the mental, and the relaxations. These should be WELL divided. About two to three and a half hours daily should be given in REST, relaxation of the body, with as little meditation during the relaxation as plausible, or possible. Then a twenty to thirty minutes of concentration in the MENTAL forces of body, as to desires, and visualization of the EXPECTANCY as body desires. Then at least an hour to two hours, morning AND evening, to exercise. This should be done in the open.

Well, too, that once each week there be given the gentle massage; not too MUCH, but sufficient to keep the proper accord through the system. These, as we find, may be BETTER given osteopathically than through Swedish or through any full massage or masseuse.

  1. (Q) What should body be especially mindful of to produce a normal, healthy and well balanced baby? (A) This has been given. In the BALANCING of the whole of the periods, as seen.

  2. (Q) What should weight of the mother be at the end of nine months in order to have the baby weigh 5 to 6 pounds? (A) This has been determined through other channels! Why question? for, from here, we wouldn’t agree!

  3. (Q) How can body assist herself from having as long a period of birth, as when the last baby came? (A) Needn’t to worry about that! It WON’T be as long! That’s NATURAL consequences!

  4. (Q) What will the sex of the baby be? (A) As desired, as has been seen. [GD’s note: The mother, [903], stated throughout the pregnancy that her desire was for a girl. “…as has been seen” perhaps referring to previous birth of their son, [759], as desired?]

  5. (Q) When will the baby be born? (A) In due time.

  6. (Q) What can be done to aid the baby have a sweet and charming personality? (A) That as is held, or imaged, in the mental forces!

  7. (Q) What can [257] do to help mother produce the healthy, normal child? (A) Act toward the mother in a manner as will produce that desire, that expectancy in each - for one is as much responsible as the other!

  8. (Q) Should the mother travel to other cities for change, such as Virginia Beach or Atlantic City? (A) As much in the open as is well, is good for the body.

Changes of scenes bring changes of thought, changing of surroundings - and is well.

  1. (Q) On what planetary date should body be born and how can it be accomplished? (A) It’s already been accomplished! This is set from time of inception [conception]! if it’s to be full and complete - and it’s been given that it is!

  2. We are through for the present.
