This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of March, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [908], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:50 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes.

2. As we find, conditions are not so well in the present as when last we had same.

3. There are again the accumulations of poisons not eliminated properly through the system, tending to make for separations and causing great burning in areas of the sub-cuticle and the epidermis. These are the disturbing factors.

4. As we find in the present:

5. The manipulations osteopathically should be given, as has been indicated. [See 908-4 on 1/13/36.]

6. And there should be the use of the Castor Oil Packs and rubs. Rubs not over the areas where the greater distress is, but the Packs there - or Oil; two to three thicknesses of flannel, with not too great a heat, but just so the body absorbs same.

7. In the manipulations we would stimulate the eliminations.

8. And keep eliminations open by the use of the mild cathartics of a vegetable nature, AND with the high enemas.

9. Ready for questions.

10. (Q) To which osteopath should I go? (A) Anyone in sympathy with the character of manipulations that have been indicated.

11. (Q) Why does stomach burn and ache, especially after elimination? (A) This arises from the superacidity and that condition which exists in the lack of coordination in the eliminating systems; and produces a strain or drain upon same.

12. (Q) Should the Packs be over the abdomen? (A) The places WHERE the irritations are, as indicated; whether it is the stomach, the mouth, the cheek, the foot, the leg, the arm, or those VARIOUS portions! because this changes about in portions of the body!

Do this as we find for the better conditions.

R1. 3/16/38 GD copied out directions for osteopath from 908-4 and sent with this memo to Mrs. [908]: Mrs. [908], Mrs. [379] said you spoke of taking the Atomidine. If I were you I’d simply stick to the suggestions made in the last Reading; using the Castor Oil Packs AND the osteopathic treatments. You may cause a confusion if you start using anything else that was not given the last time. I’m sure the Reading would have mentioned the Atomidine if it had been needed to go with this treatment at this time.

Hope you get started alright, and soon feel a lot better. Gladys.

R2. 7/38 GD’s note: We heard that Mrs. [908] committed suicide on the night of 7/6th or 7/7th, 1938.

B2. 3/9/38 Friend Mrs. [1222] reported: “Mrs. [908] was never able to get Dr. Richardson to make the corrections in the coccyx as rdg. indicated; so if further osteopathic tr. are suggested she will go to either Dr. Gena L. Crews or Dr. F. C. Hudgins, Jr. She has been suffering terribly; even fainted the other day when she went down town.”

B3. She submitted questions for the 3/11/38 Rdg.: Why does stomach burn and ache, especially after elimination? If I follow these instructions will I ever feel any better? Should I follow any of the treatments previously outlined, or just these? Are osteopathic treatments still advised? If so, please specify. To which osteopath should I go for for these treatments? Why does my head and face hurt and burn more than formerly? Any further advice?
