This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 29th day of May, 1935, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [930], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. David E. Kahn.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. L. B. Cayce.]

In the office of Time of Reading. Dr. […], 33 West 3:00 to 3:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. 34th St., N.Y.C. New Rochelle, N.Y. (Body and enquiring mind, who seeks information, advice and guidance as to his mental and material welfare. You will answer the questions he has submitted, as I ask them.)

  1. EC: Yes (he’s on his way), we have the enquiring mind, [930].

  2. Now, in giving that which may be helpful or beneficial to the body in this experience, let the entity know (and in the presentation of each written copy of information through these sources to EVERYONE let it be explained) that, as the seeking is presented it is the DESIRE of the heart that is asked for. Not all know what they DESIRE in their inner selves. For who hath set a spiritual ideal? The Mind is the Builder, and from the Spirit doth it take life.

  3. What, then, is thy spiritual ideal, that ye would seek through such channels for that which would ENABLE thee to plan thine activities in the material world? What hath said thy God? “If ye will be my people, I will be thy God.”

  4. Then, doth thou seek from other sources? Useth thou the channels of divine providence that thou mightest gain over thine fellow man?

  5. Or would ye look thine own self in the face and say, “Father, God, do as thou seest I have need of! As I mete unto my fellow man, mete thou - O God - unto me! For as I seek, I realize that lest I come to thee with the singleness of heart that I may know thy ways with me, it is but as naught. As I would that others would do to me, deal Thou, O Lord, with me.”

  6. Unless thou, my friend, would approach this channel of information with such as thy desire, as thy purpose, thou wouldst indeed seek in vain!

  7. Ready for questions.

  8. (Q) With reference to my new connection (the Outdoor Girl Company), does it appear that I will be successful? (A) As the self is applied, so will the success be. Let the associations, then, hinge rather upon what may be accomplished by self in the remunerative measure. Rather than a definite stipend, then, let it be so much and then a portion of that accomplished over and above sufficient for a ready need.

  9. (Q) Are my new employers sincere and honest, as to their promises? (A) As sincere as self.

  10. (Q) Should I press for a contract at this time? (A) Upon the basis the association should be, as has been indicated.

  11. (Q) Would I do better to go in business for myself? (A) Apply self in these at the present, until you know self, until you have looked self in the face as to purposes, as to what might be accomplished - not only in a material manner but as for the reconstruction of self. For what art thou to be judged by before the Throne? “As ye have done it unto the least of these, thy brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

  12. (Q) Does it appear that I shall receive the full amount from the individual whose initials are M. P.? (A) No. About three-fourths.

  13. (Q) When and how should I make the demand? (A) Through those channels that are justice and right, to self, to those associated, to all concerned.

  14. (Q) Will the complications in the Crystal matter be cleared away satisfactorily? (A) That depends upon what SELF sets as being satisfactory. It would be well for self to analyze this whole situation, not only as to what is justice to self but to those who have been affiliated with same. And put self in the other fellow’s place. Then, according to that YE would do in the same position, expect that - and act in that way and manner. This is the manner of expression and living that will enable the self to know, when it goes to sleep or to rest - either for the moment or in the end, “I have wronged no man. Hence the prompting of my conscience before myself, before my Maker, before that I would leave as a heritage for my loved ones, for the world, is that I have done right.”

Then may the life be the more joyous, the more at peace, the more in accord. However, if thou dost slight the least, thou dost BUILD thine OWN frustration.

  1. (Q) Can you tell me the total amount per share I will receive from this corporation? (A) This depends upon what has been indicated, as to that set and used in those directions indicated.

  2. (Q) What do you see as to my financial future? (A) The laborer is worthy of his hire; if thou would apply thyself in thine dealings with thy fellow man. Remember ever, man may sow, man may labor, man may do this or that; ONLY the Father, God, ALLOWS the increase - LEST man has sold his birthright for a mess of pottage.

  3. (Q) Is there any warning or advice that could be given to me in regard to my health? or is it advisable that I seek a Physical Reading? (A) A physical understanding is the much more preferable. Wouldst thou seek at the road office for a connection with a bus line? Wouldst thou seek at thine banker’s for the cut of thy outer garment? Wouldst thou seek in thine place of worship for the food of thy body?

All of these are dependent one upon another, but - as He has ordered His universe as one - the SEED are in their own kind.

  1. We are through for the present.
