This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of March, 1928, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [94].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now, we find there are complications regarding the physical conditions of this body. These effect many portions of the body. While there is debilitation existent, yet there are those things that may be applied for the better physical reaction in this body, [94] we are speaking of.

4. These are the conditions, then, as we find them:

IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this low in its resistive power, and there is the tendency of improper eliminations that has been a gradual outgrowth of poor circulation and poor elimination, and - the capillaries being overcharged - there are those conditions existing in the epidermis that shows how this affects the body.

6. In the elements and constituents, then, of blood, much may be applied for the better reaction for the system.

7. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this, as we see, shows the effect of existent conditions as have been builded gradually in many centers, coming from varied effects produced in functioning portions or functioning organs themselves, and the disturbance in these causes this unstabilized condition, the improper coordination of nerve reflexes. Hence the condition existent in the body where voluntary reaction becomes INVOLUNTARY.

8. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, these show the effect of this condition arising first from old or latent conditions existent in the physical forces of the body, finding expression in the condition produced in the exterior circulation and affecting the locomotaries and the nerve system. In the action produced, then, in the various organs themselves:

Lungs show the effect of an impaired circulation, and while not an organic condition in the sense that the lungs themselves are under so much distress; yet the inability of these to perform their proper functioning in the clarifying and the oxidization that should take place in the system, prevents - in THIS functional organism - the proper stimulation for the body through these sources; as does the digestion, the liver, and the kidneys. The kidneys showing the greater effect of disturbances, and more having been applied there has distributed - rather than met the needs of the conditions of the body.

10. Now, to bring about the better conditions for this body, first we would give internally that which will give some basis of the body’s rebuilding in the proper manner. We would, to six (6) ounces of simple syrup, add:

Sarsaparilla Compound…1 ounce, Tincture Valerian…1/2 ounce, Tincture Stillingia…1/2 ounce, Iodide of Potassium 10% solution…20 minims, Oil of Sassafras…40 minims, Elixir Calisaya…1 ounce.

Cut two (2) drams Balsam of Tolu in two (2) ounces grain alcohol and add to solution.

11. Shake solution well together before the dose is taken, which should be half teaspoonful three time each day.

12. Use an electrically driven vibrator over the whole length of the cerebro-spinal system.

13. Also have those radiations from the Radium Appliance, the Radium X Appliance.

14. Use the vibrator at least twenty minutes twice each day.

15. At least once each day re-charge the Radium Appliance for five to ten minutes in strong light.

16. In twenty to thirty days we will find the system responding in such a way and manner that the localized conditions may be dealt with direct.

17. Let the diet be of those properties that bring stimulation, yet are easily digested. The juices of meats, but no flesh. No fish should be eaten by the body. Those of the juices of vegetables, and of fruits and nuts, may be varied according to the needs of the system and as assimilation takes place.

18. After each treatment with the vibrator over the cerebro-spinal system, massage same gently with the hand - bringing friction to bear on the spine so that each center may have the proper radiation. Be well were first cold, then hot, pads or cloths used to rub spine for three to four minutes each time.

19. Do that.

20. Wear the appliance only in waking hours. It may be lain across the head, eyes and face - for existent conditions there - when the body rests, but for only a few MINUTES at a time - NEVER more than three.

21. Do that. When these have been carried out for the period given, we would give further instructions for this body.

22. We are through for the present.
