This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips Hotel, Room 115, Dayton, Ohio, this 4th day of December, 1923, in accordance with request made by self - [953].

1. LS: Now you have the horoscope reading given on [953] on November 9th [953-4]. You will give detailed information relative to each of the various personalities of this body in previous appearances on this earth plane, as given in the reading, as I give them to you.

2. EC: Yes, we have these conditions here.

3. (Q) The defender of the gate under Cromwell. [Oliver Cromwell] (A) In that we find in the matter of historic conditions. Present when the gate to the castle, through which the king [Charles I] came who lost his head, this body was the keeper or defender of that gate, to prevent the over-running of the conditions as existed under that ruler, and this body that held this portion of the entity now possessed by this body, [953], was there in the name - we have it here - Warwick, W-a-r-w-i-c-k. We will find it in history.

4. (Q) The leader and armor bearer under Xerxes [Ahasuerus]. (A) There we find in this same entity forces as that in the armor bearer to Xerxes, and led the forces when the river was crossed by Xerxes’ forces in the invasion, in that Iowan - the name.

5. (Q) The counsellor in the Court of Herod the Great, and lost in this by that of the Roman forces who came in under that of Pilot Pilate]. (A) This was after these under Xerxes. Not before, but in both of these we find much of those elements as shown in the soul and spirit entity of the individual at present. So the individuality of the person, as earth plane known, lives on in the spirit and soul forces of the entity. In this was the counsellor in Herod’s Court, and the member of the San Hedron [Sanhedrin], and in this the name was Zxenaw.

6. (Q) Then was a builder of the walls of the City that was rebuilt, and one of the defenders when Sanballat resisted the forces there.

(A) In the rebuilding of the walls of the City when the chosen people, of which this body then was one, and one who worked on the wall as goes toward the South gate, and was then as the defender of that same place, or gate, and in this we find was in the same influence as is in mind, or soul of this entity to-day, to defend those entering in of the better element in the labors of the body in the present plane. In this we find the name Exrahil.

In my horoscope [953-6] you left out the last appearance before this, that of the Puritan age. This would have been especially interesting to know in what manner I failed to evolve to a higher plane.

There is no doubt but that your book compiled from the information you are gathering [[3744] series] will be very attractive to the public and be of untold benefit to mankind, in bringing him to understand more clearly his duty to his Maker.

“Now when I read the writings of men discoursing on theology I feel that they have the urge of the Infinite but that, in a measure, they are blind and groping for light. Your work lifts the veil that is obstructing the mental and spiritual vision of writers past and present…
