This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the David E. Kahn home, 44 West 77th St., Apt. 14-W, New York City, this 11th day of October, 1935, in accordance with request made by the nephew, Mr. [261], Active Research Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: Yes. As we find, conditions are somewhat changed from that as we have had heretofore. All of these indicate a betterment.

2. Apparently there is the exercising of poor eliminations by the manner in which the rash has occurred on portions of the body. If there is the adherence to the diets and the keeping of those things outlined - at times the massage of the body with the combinations indicated - this should disappear, and the general improvement continue.

3. Keep the eliminations a little more active as related to the alimentary canal, not so much by using cathartics but by taking those properties that may become active with the gastro-intestinal system - these will be most helpful. These may be found in Fletcher’s Castoria, with a change made in the compound in this manner:

4. Take from a small (900 drop) bottle of Fletcher’s Castoria one teaspoonful, and add in its place one-half teaspoonful Syrup of Senna and one-half teaspoonful Syrup of Rhubarb. Then shake well together, and the dose would be a quarter to half a teaspoonful taken every half hour, with a little water. Continue in this manner (even though it may require more than one whole bottle) until the system has responded.

5. Then use a high enema to cleanse the colon from the poisons that will have accumulated.

6. These, as we find, should be most helpful to the body.

7. When there are disturbing conditions, as in the heaviness across the small of the back and to the limbs - especially from the knees to the soles of the feet, on both sides up and down, it would be well that there be massages with oil - preferably the Olive Oil. And keep these very warm.

8. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) Was the medicine compounded correctly, and should this be continued? (A) We would have it re-compounded, and ask that the ingredients be added in the order as given. These properties we would continue for the time being.

10. (Q) The violet ray should be continued? (A) Violet ray should be continued.

11. (Q) Any change in diet? (A) We would keep to that as indicated, with more regularity as to the diet.

12. We are through with this reading.

R1. 11/21/35 Nephew’s letter to GD: “My aunt, Miss [975], writes me that she is ever so much better, - ‘No headaches or dizziness, but I would like a good baked white potato.’ The last bottle of medicine is now finished and I think it would be well to have a Check Reading to see if any further medicine or treatments are necessary and also if any changes can now be made in the diet.

“My aunt in a few weeks will go to Florida for the winter and, if possible, I would like to get the diet and treatment, if any, which she should follow during the winter months.”
