This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at this home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of February, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [994], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading [994] Bros., 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio. (Body and enquiring mind, who desires information, advice and guidance as to certain moves in regard to his business affairs. Questions.)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [994]; in manners this we have had before.
-
As to the associations and relations, and the activities regarding those about the plant:
-
We find there are many conditions that are most commendable. There are others where little petty differences have made and do make for disturbing conditions in the associations and relations.
-
Yet, it would be well that the plans be carried out that are being considered; regarding some changes in salesmen’s associations, salesmen’s relations; provided there are those policies of keeping the factory and its activities in a more CONSISTENT operative manner. With some consideration given as to the activities in these directions, as related to the general workmen about the plant, we would find more material satisfaction - and a greater outlet for the products of [994] Brothers.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Would the change that I want to make in regard to salesmen be the right thing at this time? (A) As we find, this would be the right time to make many of the changes; though necessity will demand that some of these be made in an INDETERMINATE period - or some not so decided, but a GRADUAL change necessary.
-
(Q) In regard to my figuring with several companies to make up merchandise: Which lines would be the proper ones for me to take on? Special bedroom suites, Radio cabinets, Sewing machine parts, and Table equipment? (A) As we find, for a period, the better may be had through making the Machine cabinets and the Radio cabinets, and Table equipment, rather than so MUCH change - or so much a cheapening of the line in the Bedroom suites.
Hence, as we find, owing to the general conditions, the Radio cabinets would keep the factory busy and - with the very type and kind of merchandise produced in this plant - make for most EXCELLENT connections. Then, though it will be required - owing to the general conditions - that the figures be not so much in the greater QUANTITY, these would be the most satisfactory.
Hence, the Radio cabinets particularly; a part, especially, of the Table equipments that have made and do make for specialties in this particular line; and then the Machine cabinets - these would be most satisfactory.
-
(Q) Can we take them on at the prices they expect? (A) These can be made, as given, and as indicated, to make most satisfactory arrangements. Not so much the individual piece (as in some of the lines manufactured) but the quantity, and with the time and the way, these may be made most satisfactory.
-
(Q) What would be the best for us to manufacture to help keep the plant busy? (A) These as we have indicated. Specialities in the tables; that is, benches and table FIXTURES, and the Machine cabinets and the Radio.
-
(Q) Any other advice at this time? (A) Keep rather a set policy, as has been, but rather let it come all under ONE head; or each individual caring for a PARTICULAR portion of the general activities, and under the one head. This, as we find, would be the more satisfactory.
-
We are through for the present.
