This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1010], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. (Notes read to and transcribed by Jeanette Fitch.) Harmon Bro.]

Time of Reading 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Alabama.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes - Mother [1010]. We have the body here.

  3. The physical being here grows very weary at times. The activities of heart are very much overwrought. Thus it flutters to almost a halting, yet the very mind and purpose of the entity keeps on.

  4. So long as this attitude is held, there is hope. For the trust of the entity is in life, as manifested in life itself or God.

  5. There are physical disorders that are in measures responsible for the weakness in the present. Most of these are overanxiety, overactiveness of the body for others.

  6. And it would be well for this channel (through which this information comes) to take a lesson from these things here, and - as this body should - REST!

  7. There are those conditions that are understood in the body, Mother [1010], where pressures in the colon must be kept to the minimum, else there comes greater strain on the heart and the lungs. The conditions of the thrombose from the heart, the auricles of the heart to the liver are dilated. But when the pressure is removed from the colon, these do the better.

  8. The mild administrations to alleviate the pressures in the superficial or vein circulation will aid. These may be administered by the physician, not too much, and not to regularly.

  9. Keep the mind constructive. Keep the colon cleansed, and we will find better conditions.

  10. Ready for questions.

  11. (Q) What can I eat that will not affect the pulsation of the heart? (A) Those foods that are easily assimilated. Not so much of those that become too great of a laxativeness through the colon, but fruits, citrus fruits, figs, grapes and such things - with a little crisp breakfast bacon, the yolk of an egg (not the white); vegetable soups - these would be well.

But rest.

  1. We are through with this reading.
