This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the David E. Kahn home, 44 West 77th St., Apt. 14-W, New York City, this 22nd day of October, 1935, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [4219].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1025].

2. As we find, conditions are rather of a serious nature with the physical forces of this body. There are rather the complications of disturbances and disorders through the physical activities. However, as we find, these may be brought to a nearer normal reaction through the constant care and persistence upon the part of those that would make applications of influences in the activities of the body; not only the physical forces, as to sustain the life activities, but the better mental AND physical coordination may be made throughout the system.

3. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1025], we are speaking of:

4. The BLOOD SUPPLY indicates there has been existent in the body an infectious force, that has arisen from a bacilli which became destructive to tissue. In the applications for same this has been aided considerably in some directions; yet that condition has been left wherein there is the adherence of tissue through the drying of portions of the body - especially as related to those things having to do with the mental reactions in the body.

5. Hence the incoordinations between the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic or vegetative nerve forces of the body; for these are the areas through which disturbances have arisen, preventing a normal reaction to the impulses at times, as well as making for - in portions of the body - disturbing forces as evinced by the activity in the superficial circulation, in the attempt of eliminations to be carried through those channels. Also there are reactions that occur to the coordinating influences producing periods when there is the rise or the uncontrollable activity of the physical and mental reactions for the body. This is through the adherence, or the conditions in the right portion of the abdomen - through the destructive influences that have attacked through the ileum activity.

6. These make for those conditions in the greater portion of the STRUCTURAL forces at times, as to their contraction and their muscular reaction, as well as for those things that have affected the ability for the carbonization - or the oxidization or oxygens for the body. And these impair, then, the blood supply through the system.

7. Hence we find ORGANS, as well as structural portions of the body, become involved in the conditions.

8. And we will find that these applications which we will suggest, made for three to four weeks, should make for the BUILDING of constructive forces in the physical body such that there may be - as it were - that upon which there may be BUILDED the forces that may bring the proper coordination in the mental and physical forces of the body; upon which RESUSCITATING and revivifying forces can be added in such measures as to bring - then - BETTER conditions, easier activity of the mental forces, enabling the body to be easier from the pains and distresses that arise, and make for nearer normal conditions in the body.

9. First, then, we would begin by the use of the small quantities of the Animated Ash. Take one-eighth grain at least EVERY day (empty the powder on tongue and wash down with water; DO NOT take IN the capsule).

10. And every OTHER day, three to five to ten minutes after the Ash has been taken, apply the ultra violet ray (the mercury light) for a half to a minute and a half, at least forty inches from the body. This will make for the stimulation to the centers in the system that need the purifying of the circulatory forces, and make for the blood supply to become more active in its abilities for the more perfect circulation.

11. After these treatments have been begun and used for four to five days (that is, the Ash and the light), we would then begin with the corrections - which, as we find, would PREFERABLY be made in the chiropractic manner; such as may be made by Johnson, who is in this same vicinity or surrounding as the body.

12. Make the corrections in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cervical; relaxing the body in the 4th and 5th dorsal and throughout the lumbar area.

13. These should be done EACH day for a period of eight to ten days. Then rest from same three or four days. Then begin again.

14. After the entire treatments as suggested have been given for a period of ten to twenty days, we would then give further instructions.

15. In the diet, keep away from meats - but use those things that are body-building; as the Valentine’s Liver Extract, and the Whole Wheat that would be rolled and well-cooked - these will supply vitamins necessary for the aiding of corrections where these lesions in the right portion of the body may be broken up, and where coordination between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic nerve forces may be aided.

16. First we must establish that ability in the blood supply to overcome those toxic forces that have been produced by not only the bacilli but a portion of the sedatives that have been administered.

17. Do that; then we would give further instructions.

It is possible that we may come through … about the first week or second week in November, on our way to Detroit. If so, and the treatments work out to that period, we might give the Check Reading there - where you could hear it and ask the necessary questions.

Mr. Edgar Cayce, c/o Mr. & Mrs. David E. Kahn, 44 West 77th ST., Apt. 14-W, New York City, N.Y.

My dear Mr. Cayce:

Immediately on receipt of your Reading on [1025] I sent to Chicago for the Animated Ash and made arrangement with Dr. Johnson for the chiropractic treatments, and [1025] has also altered his diet in accordance with the instructions embodied in your Reading.

He commenced taking the ash yesterday and will take the light treatments under Dr. Johnson every other day, as directed, commencing the chiropractic treatments as you have directed, and after following this procedure for ten to twenty days will make an arrangement for a check reading, in accordance with your advice. This should carry us pretty much to the time when you expect to be in … at which time we hope that you may be able to give the check reading, as I do not, under any circumstances want to miss the opportunity of meeting you and thanking you personally for the great assistance I believe will come to us through your help.

The Reading you gave is to my mind almost miraculous, inasmuch as you describe certain conditions that are identical with the case, and it is unnecessary for me to add that should it be the will of Providence that my son may be brought back to a normal condition our life-long thanks will be yours.

I would like to ask if the instructions embodied in your Reading means that [1025] should continue taking the ash each day during the entire period of the treatment, and also if he should continue taking the liver extract over an indefinite period.
