This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of March, 1936, in accordance with request made by the husband - Mr. [1745], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., also by Mrs. [1100].

Time of Reading 3:15 to 3:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Texas. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1045]; this we have had before.

2. As we find, the body physically is very weak from the inability of the blood supply to attain the vitality from the circulatory force sufficient to sustain the activities of the body; through the alteration in the manner through which the air or oxygen passes through the lungs.

3. It would be well that the oxygen tank be used in the present, as we find.

4. And as there is given a little strength through same, use more of the Ash with the violet ray - ultra-violet.

5. Use the inhalations from the charred container, rather than otherwise. This inhalation, of the apple brandy from a charred container rather than from the wet or from the heating of same, will make more improvement.

6. We would use a quarter grain of the Ash once each day. Use the tank oxygen first.

7. Keep up the GENTLE manipulations to prevent any portions becoming segregated or stoppages being brought in the circulation. These given once or twice a day, osteopathically, will be helpful. Work from the limbs TOWARD the body, rather than FROM the body. In the body itself, stimulate gently the secondary cardiac plexus area as well as the vagus center; which will aid in alleviating that fullness.

8. For strengthening internal food values we would give the juice of crushed fresh grapes; any character of grapes so long as they are not those fermented or those that have been canned. This, as we find, with little sips of the beef juice as indicated, will be the necessary nourishment in the present.

10. (Q) How should the Yogurt be prepared for this body? (A) Yogurt is prepared by making a curd that passes through the system to absorb and aid in the eliminations.

Use in milk, then, as a curd - and take very small sips for the body.

Yogurt is a preparation from honeycomb, you see, that acts to take caseins from milk that are injurious to the system and helpful to the intestinal tract.

This is needed more later than in the immediate, you see; for these emergencies must be met - in this lack of oxygen supply for the body.

R1. 3/10/36 Mrs. [1100]‘s card: “Conditions appear about the same. Better one day and worse the next. Cannot seem to impress on them the necessity for following the diet as [1045] is so set and determined. Expect to return to Detroit next week…”

R2. 3/12/36 Mrs. [1100]‘s letter: “After receiving the copy of the reading taken on your return to Virginia Beach, decided to come on to …, as I felt sure conditions were quite serious and too, I hadn’t seen my mother in over a year… Well, my sister-in-law is very serious indeed and it wouldn’t surprise me for the end to come any minute and I was very much surprised to learn that Dr. McBride is not following suggestions at all. I haven’t met him yet, as I just got here Tuesday but he told my brother that you told him to use his own judgement but to me it seems that his judgement is not worth very much as he has told them to give her anything at all to eat and she eats things that I would have trouble digesting. He also would not use the oxygen tank suggested, telling my brother that she would not live 30 minutes if he used it, so of course, my brother doesn’t know what is best or what to do. Now I hate to ‘jump on’ the doctor for fear he will give up the case and then they will have no one on whom to depend… I am sorry indeed about the turn of affairs down here and will keep trying to impress on my brother the necessity for carrying out the suggestions to the letter…”

R3. 3/16/36 EC’s letter to [1100]:

Dear Mrs. [1100];-

Thanks for yours of 12th. Am mighty sorry to hear Mrs. [1045] is so bad off. Knew from the last reading she was in no good shape. Sure do hope you will be able to help in persuading them to give the information a try in earnest and sincerely trust it is not too late. Know how feeble and unresponsive she must feel. Have seen several cases of that kind, and have seen them come back when there seemingly wasn’t any hope whatever. Am sure as you say the food can and does make a lot of difference for her. But will it not be possible Mrs. [1100] for you to take the last reading and get them to adhere to it just as it was suggested, the Charred keg for the brandy and all. The Sips of the Calcidin will surely help a lot in making her easier. I can only hope and pray for the best, and May HE guide you to have the strength and persuasive power to carry on as is best for her and the rest.

And please know this. If you feel that I might be of a help at any time please wire me. You know I will be only too glad to try.

Am sure all there were glad to see you, and hope you have a very lovely visit even tho it is under very trying circumstances.

There is no use raising cain with the Dr. Perhaps he will learn better, but if at all agreeable just take hold and have them at least give the information a try. Can’t harm am sure. The Dr. has said several time there was no hope from his point of view, but that he had seen such information help. Just wonder why he wouldn’t help give it a chance. The Lord help him.

My how I wish we had a place. Such things worry me but can do so little to help. Please don’t hesitate to wire me and please let me know how she get along.

Thanks Mrs. [1100], can’t ever tell you how much I appreciated your taking the time to be near during the test there in Detroit. It meant a lot more than can ever tell you. Well have been feeling some better, still having a spell now and then, but got myself a reading, and find it works when you do what it says, so hope to get along alright now. The rest have been pretty well. H. L. and Miss Gladys very busy as the Bulletins have gotten behind in their appearance, but the weather is fine and every one should feel better.

I don’t know of any thing that could have been much nicer than for you to have carried out your feeling after the decision. Thanks more than ever can tell you and [470]. Both were just wonderful. God Bless you both.

Do hope Mrs. [1045] gets on better, please let me know how she is. Please tell her if she wants to get better, to hold on. Know God can heal, and his forces here when applied correctly as his word will help.
