This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 6th day of March, 1925, in accordance with request made by her son, Mr. [137].

1. GC: You will give the physical conditions of this body at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief.

2. EC: Now, we find the conditions in this body somewhat different from that we have had here before, yet much of the same causes producing the present condition as that as given before, and the present condition is only another manifestation in the physical of the existing condition in the tissue and eliminating portions in system and the condition as is produced by these disturbances in the nerve system.

3. As to the condition as was given, this was a form of toxin, poison, in system taken into the blood supply and attempting to be eliminated through the capillary circulation by the effect from such toxins produced on the lymphatic glands in the cuticle and in the outer portions of the circulation of the capillary system. The same we find in the disturbance in the extremities, in the shoulder, arm and in limb, is the deeper accentuation of same condition producing the tenderness, the pain in nerve centers, in the ends of tendons and in muscular forces by toxins in lymphatic, which produce inflammation to these centers, causing distress in the body. The acids as were taken instead of alkalines as given, to produce eliminations, accentuate conditions when the system in its cycle is overtaxed, and we have the results as is seen in body at present.

4. We would follow then closer those suggestions as were given, to produce the eliminations in the system, to cause the centers in the intestinal system, in liver, in kidneys, to function through their normal channels, preventing toxins from being taken into circulation and causing disturbance as we find at the present time. These, as we see, if followed as given, using the salines, the eliminations from system of the nature of alkalines rather than acid, we will cause the lymph and secretive system to function throughout the small intestine, through liver, through hepatics, and cause the system to gradually come to the relief as this body needs.

5. When the system is relieved through this manner as given using ice as packs, or hot applications, the one preferable to the body, the hot with hot soda and salt we would give as the better. In this then we would find relief for the body. When system is relieved, well that the body take a solution of Chloride Gold 10 grains to 20 ounces distilled water, and the dosage would be 5 drops once each day. This as a stimulus to the whole circulation, and especially to the eliminating and assimilating system, rejuvenating all the mucus producing, the lymph producing, the excretory system.

6. Follow, then, closer those suggestions as were given for eliminating the toxins as were being absorbed in the system.

We changed doctors and he proceeded to operate along the lines indicated in your reading; and I am glad to report that she is much better this morning. The trouble indicated in the reading seems to be exactly correct but it is hard to make others see it as I do.”

R2. 3/11/25 Son [900]‘s letter: “Mother’s illness was not serious but caused her such great distress…she laid in bed absolutely unable to move, due to the terrific pain and nausea. However, she is considerably improved and hopes to do away with the nurses today and by tomorrow sit up a while. Knowing her recuperative powers as I do, I have no doubt but what she will now gain rapidly.”
