This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 10th day of February, 1925, in accordance with request made by her son, Mr. [900].

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief for this body.

2. EC: Now, we find there are some of the physical conditions, as we have had in the body, exaggerated in the system and in the functioning of the system, especially in the eliminations and emunctories of the body, and these show this effect in the body at the present time. This, as we see, is produced by the over-taxation of the body with those properties that create an unbalance in the hydrochloric portion of the system, so that the circulation receives too much of the acid condition in the system; producing then in the circulation, in the elimination, in the capillary circulation, especially, those distressing conditions wherein the action of that exhumed from the system through these conditions produce the abrasions as shown in system, causing soreness, tenderness, depression, in the functioning of the organs of elimination. The lacteal ducts, the lachrymal ducts, all become exaggerated in their functioning. Soreness through the system through many of the glands, through many of the muscular forces, irritation to stomach, nausea; these are produced from this condition existing, as it were, in the duodenum and the effects are shown in the other portions of body.

3. This, then, is that condition as was given become exaggerated in the functioning of the system.

4. Then, to reduce this condition, as we see, those of the nature that is being accorded the system, in the form of the properties that are of the alkaline nature, are bringing the body to the normal conditions. This, then, will only need rest and time for the equilibrium to be established in the system.

5. Be well were these properties added to that being done. A very mild tea of the watermelon seed should be given, once each day, that the emunctories in kidneys may be awakened. This, we find, will assimilate better with system, with the acids, with the properties taken, than would a counter-irritant. The quantity would be as of one-half ounce of seed (clear) to twenty ounces of water, steeped or simmered for five minutes. Then strain and used as a beverage. Also Balsam of Peru added to the dusting powder of Sterate (Stearate) of Zinc and Chalk as used over the outer portion of body.

6. Do that, and only needs the body rest from foods for system, save those of the nature that reduces the acid, the repelling force in the emunctories, and allow the system to come to its normal condition.

7. We are through.
