This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, on this 9th day of February, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

Time of Reading 5:20 P. M. Dayton Time. New York City, N.Y.

1. GC: You will have before you three readings, with their subject matter and associations, as given on the body, [900] on September 2, 1924, [900-2] on December 27, 1924, [900-14] and January 30, 1925 [900-29]. You will answer questions, as I ask them, regarding any or all of these, giving the answers in full and in an understandable way to the mind of [900].

2. EC: Yes, we have this information, this data as given, with its connection, its relation, to the body [900], and we find that much as has been given has been and is shown in conditions that have come to pass, and the relationship this has to that, that is to happen, only carries that condition as will make, as will bring, those conditions as have been outlined, modified, changed, magnified or lessened, through the will, purpose, intent, of the mind of the body, [900]. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) As given in reading of September 2, 1924, [900-2] in regard to [900]‘s association with Wm. E. Lauer & Co., some wonderful developments were to come about. Will the dissolution of the firm, as planned May 1st, nullify or make impossible the bringing about these wonderful developments? (A) Many of these, as we see, in the change of the status [900] had, and now has with this firm, is that made reference to. The change as contemplated may magnify or lessen the other conditions that may arise, depending upon the individual, or individuals, that may be associated with the then existent conditions. They have neither nullified, nor do they nullify, the condition.

4. (Q) Is there anything the bodies, [900] and [137], may now do to bring about these developments? (A) Follow in the way as has been already outlined for these bodies, in their transactions in, with and through men, in their business relations and association ever keeping in that way as has been given.

5. (Q) As given in reading of December 27, 1924, on horoscope, [900-14] body will be connected to business of aerial nature in June. Will it be wise for the body to enter into this business connection, judging by people he is to associate with and also profits that may be derived from such a connection? (A) These must be adjudged by the individuals themselves. As has been given, “no man can serve two masters,” depending then, as has been outlined for the body. There will be, there are, many smaller concerns, connections, businesses, business relations, that will be brought to the body, [900] and the body will be able to see how such conditions may be made profitable in financial way to self and to others. Act according to the dictates of the individual’s conscience and will force in such relations. As to aerial connections, conditions, under certain conditions, as has been outlined, well. Under that as will be approached in next conference, no. As might be in a second, or third, or fourth, perhaps consider.

6. (Q) As given in reading of January 30, 1925, [900-29] on business association with Wormser and Lauer, the association of the firm may again be made. Does this mean that Lauer & Wormser may change their minds about dissolution on the first of May? (A) One may, yes. As to the conditions regarding this connection, these have been given in the readings as given to the body on interpretation of conditions as projected into the conscious from subconscious associations in an unconscious condition.

7. (Q) Should the bodies, [137] and [900], accept Wormser’s & Lauer’s new proposition made to them Saturday noon, January 31, 1925, or wait for other proposition that will come? (A) There will be other propositions. One made as regards the individual conditions with these parties, as given, very well to accept. There will arise other conditions, as regarding one of these individuals, and other connections and other associations, before the first of May. As has been given, many conditions will arise, many circumstances, connections and associations must be considered. Follow in way as has been outlined, as has been given, for the body.

8. (Q) How may [900] and [137], and to whom had they best now go, in order to open up those channels for that which will be offered them between now and May 1st? (A) Conduct themselves, their business, their associations, in that manner in which it will invite those connections necessary to make the success desired. Wait on those and give self understanding in such associations.

9. (Q) What propositions are likely to prove to their best interests, or should they consider most of all? (A) Not given from here.

10. (Q) Are their present plans for the future for their independent operation, independent of any firm, on the N.Y. Stock Exchange, wise and ought they be followed out? (A) Very good, yet there will be other association, other connections, before this will be established in fact.

11. (Q) How may the body [900] best follow the advice and counsel given him in dreams to bring about best results to himself and brother financially? (A) This has been given many times. Do as given.

12. (Q) Explain for the body, [900]‘s instruction, how such future event may be given in such a dream as had by this body, [900]. [See 900-32, Par. R1.] (A) This has been given. This a projection of the desire of the mind (physical) to delve into and attain the information for the best means, in the correct manner, gain from the subconscious the necessary form, manner, way, of developing for self and for others, and through this intent, this purpose, this desire, there comes such as has been given. Heed well. Follow in that way and manner, presenting self Holy and acceptable unto Him, Who giveth all good and perfect gifts.

Dear [900]:

At least I will try in part to answer yours of the 6th [See 900-32, Par. R1] and you will have same before you leave.

As regards the [122] reading, we have refrained from making the appointment until we heard from you, as we didn’t quite understand the sudden change in name and dates as given for the reading.

I believe, from the readings and explanations that we have gotten, you have a pretty good perspective of the change in the business relations as is viewed from the subconscious standpoint, yet I realize it leaves a very great deal to be developed as the real physical conditions arise. I would certainly be very glad though to see you and to talk these matters all over with you, and I’m in hopes that it will not be so very long before you will be here, and I’m sure that the writing you have been doing has been most interesting and beneficial to you in every sort of way, and we will see some good results come from this study, and I will certainly be more than glad to try and help you get and understand of the high points as you refer to in your letter.

The things you say as regarding preaching and practise, and the results that we see in our daily life, the many things that come to us in a way that’s hard to be understood, certainly makes one wonder, with the information we have gotten in readings on different phases of life, and the thing you say that almost happened certainly makes a very wonderful study, and one only wishes they could give more time, and more time, to such work. Still, I am sometimes forced to believe that its well that one cannot devote all thought and all study to one phase of any subject, else we find ourselves in a groove and go off at a tangent, so the well balanced, the well regulated, line of thought, study, observation, preaching, practise - yes, every phase of phenomena, of life, is better when seasoned with the various phases of its significance. We have had some very interesting things to come up here very much along the same line as your study, yet they are so intangible that to the material mind they would be merely coincidences, a happen chance, turned and twisted to suit the occasion; though I cannot understand them, yet I cannot see it in that light.

As to the monopolizing the time, I think when we can get all straightened out again that we will have it all arranged alright, and I’m sure that there will be times and days when we can take special readings on things that are interesting to us, any or all of us may have in mind, so we can keep these in obeisance and fill in at times when we haven’t anything else from the outside to do. Of course I know it is best that we have some semblance of an understanding of how and what is to be done, but to make a hard and set rule it would be, I think, out of the question, considering the work we’re trying to do. As for instance, yesterday we had our day full, yet we had a wire that made it necessary that I take an extra reading last evening [4790], and it had to be sent about between hundred and twenty or fifty words by wire about ten o’clock, but the wire from the man this morning seems to indicate that the information gotten was very beneficial; at least as soon as they began to apply the suggestions the father began to revive, so that when we have anything special that we want to put in of this kind, we can keep it on hand, but of necessity will have to wait a while to see when the opportunity arises, and not interfere with anyone else’s time. Of course, my inability to keep up with the work since I returned from New York has prevented me from getting things in shape as we would like to have them, but I’m in hopes from now on we’ll not have any more of this trouble, and that very soon we’ll get our slate cleared and engagements set in order, so that we can go along in a regular business-like manner. We have at the present time some several days’ work ahead of us, yet three or four appointments to be made, waiting on developments, seeing just when will be the correct time to do this.

Now, as regarding the reading [1800-2] on Oppenheim, I think it would be very well that we take this; however, as I suggested in a letter the other (and please understand this was made as a suggestion and not trying to interfere in any way with your plans, or with your manner of conducting the business) it would be well though I am sure to consider the people who are interested here, for some of these have the EXPERIENCE of carrying through just such propositions, known wherein the pitfalls are regarding advertising and everything of the kind; in other words, of course, we know that it resolves itself to a salesmanship proposition. The question is, how is the best way to get the largest returns for the amount of money expended in printers’ ink, for that’s the whole thing after all.

Yes, I’m sure, from the reading [254-20], that you were able to talk to Miss Solomon in a manner and way that she understood just what was going on, and as you say it will be a different proposition regarding the other business. You will notice that one reading has suggested that this should be handled by someone who believes in the work. I do not think, however, this means as to the manufacture; rather to those to whom printed matter would be sent or the person handling the preparation itself, and its manufacture. That’s why, as you suggest, it would be well to have the reading on this phase of the work, and I’ll try to get it just as soon as I can get it put in somewhere, so it doesn’t interfere with the physical readings we have on hand. I suppose you also notice in the reading, where the formula was given, it was called Pyorrhea Cure, or Gum-ese. I believe there are two or three other formulas that have been given that I KNOW of, to say nothing of the dozens that may be gathered from the various readings, that could be very well put out at the same time, and perhaps one advertisement carry the information regarding all manufactured under these instructions. Perhaps, as I think of it, that may be the reason it is stated in the first reading that this should be under the direction of someone connected with the work, yet keeping the businesses so entirely separate. That is why I believe (however, it may be that I only have a one-track mind and cannot grasp large possibilities, and the great field of expansion, and the necessity of making a broad campaign, but as I started to say) this should be started in a small way and rather as a mail order business, manufactured in a small way, and let the business pay for itself as it goes along. Just as I know this other work should do, just as near as it’s possible to do; yet keeping each separate, or run under different names, so far separated, by being under different organizations and different corporations. Now, I may be all wrong, yet another reason why we should have the reading, for although I have preconceived ideas, I very often find that the information gotten while I’m asleep is entirely different from that I think when I’m awake. As soon as I had your wire yesterday, regarding the number of letters for distribution to those interested, I wired you back immediately. I believe this will be an excellent idea, to get these out just as soon as it is possible. I know it’s going to be quite a bit of expense, and considerable work on Miss Gladys’ part, but I guess I’ll have to work some myself, but if we can get the people to thinking along one line, and that the same way we are thinking and get them to understand that the Association is a step towards the realization of what that I have been trying to tell them, for so many years, and they get the idea that I AM really going on to do something with it, so much the better, for we all know there’s nothing in the world succeeds like success.

I’m sure when you’re on your trip this time you are going to run into somebody (who and where I have no idea, but somewhere) that will change your ideas towards this development entirely. Should you go to New Orleans, there’s a man there who runs the (and by the way owns the property and several other pieces) LaFayette Hotel. I don’t remember his name. Dave can give it to you if you want to ask him, but I wish you’d see him and talk to him about it. He’s already interested and knows something about it, and has dared to make two or three propositions, but I believe he’s a nice clean fellow.

I certainly am in hopes that your mother [106] is feeling a great deal better, and the suggestions as offered in the reading were of some benefit. We forgot to enclose the card. You will please have it fixed up so we can file it with our records. I also enclose five that was paid on a reading this morning.
