This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Warshawsky home, 3046 Webb Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, this 26th day of February, 1936, in accordance with request made by the wife - Mrs. [1175], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Harkness Pavilion, Time of Reading Medical Center, 11:40 to 11:45 A.M. Eastern Standard Time. Room …, New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

2. The conditions that arise, from those reinfectious forces from the breaking of cellular force, continue to give a great deal of distress.

3. While the lights and the radial effect of the high vibrations aid, unless these are made somewhat farther apart and there is the ability to revive or revivify the circulation - so that the lymph and the emunctory activity has the opportunity for the rebuilding - this must of itself become so drying to the tissue as to become more and more destructive, rather than constructive.

4. As we find, the use of the Ash with same would be the more helpful; allowing the activity of oxygen in the blood stream to become more effective, longer lasting.

5. To be sure, there should be given sufficient of the narcotics at times to prevent the intense suffering that arises from same.

6. These are the conditions and little, as we find, save the taking of the Ash, can be added in the present.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Do the doctors understand his condition? (A) They understand and, naturally, are handling it in the better manner; save, as we have indicated, that the taking of the Ash may make for a longer lasting ability and the ability for the system to respond to the activities through assimilation and circulation.

9. (Q) What should the dosage of the Ash be? (A) One-eighth of a grain each day, emptied from the capsule and taken in powder form - NOT taken IN the capsule. And five to ten minutes after taking same, follow with the use of the Ultra-Violet Ray; not the Sun Lamp nor the Carbon Light, but rather the Mercury Light - over the back portion of the stomach and the lower portion of lungs (from the back), for one and a half to two minutes.

10. (Q) What can the wife do to help him? (A) The conditions are being handled, surrounding the body, as well as may be done under the circumstance - or are as helpful. To be sure, it is only a matter of time.

And for the wife, in handling the situations and conditions, it would be better to adhere to those suggestions of the financial associations or connections, than to those from outside. These, as we find, are the more sincere in their helpfulness, and may be relied upon the better.

11. (Q) Should the wife see that another will is made, or will the present one stand? (A) The present one would stand better than one being made in the present!

12. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Keep the body as quiet as possible; and these are the better conditions.

R1. 3/14/36 Wife’s letter to Edgar Cayce: “I thank you for your prompt reply to my telegram. It makes my mind easier to know that I may continue to have confidence in the doctors handling my husband’s case.

“On February 25 he had to be almost carried into the hospital. Pains were felt in more places so that treatments had to be closer instead of farther apart. This helpful wonderfully at first and he was able to get up and walk around, appearing free from pain. Yesterday his strength gave out and he is being made to rest; but without the ray, the discomfort is starting again.

“I talked with Mr. [257] last night over the phone about the Ash and he was not sure whether it could be used with X-ray.

“I wish, therefore, to ask you to make clear to me a few points from your reading February 26, 1936.

(1) Can the Ash be used with X-ray? (Your third paragraph [1085-2, Par. 3] inclines me to think it can.) (2) MUST the Violet ray be used with the Ash? (If so, can the violet ray be used with the X-ray) (3) Does the Ash cause pain?

“I ask to have a better understanding of these points, as I must be clear about the treatment before asking the doctors to add something that may be new to them.

“An immediate reply will be greatly appreciated. Sincerely yours,” [1175]

R2. 3/16/36 Letter to [1175] from Edgar Cayce: “From yours of 14th can realize the anxiety you must have about the condition of Mr. [1085] - also about the use of the Ash. It is very hard to advise anyone about such, for I do not know what I say in the reading, and realize it often suggest things that have not been fully tested by physicians, and many of them naturally would balk at such things being suggested. True there are a number of cases where the ash has been suggested where marvelous results have been obtained, but would not think it best unless your physician knew about it and would use it as suggested, and one might say as a test of its efficacy…but as I understand it can only prolong life, at this stage, not a great deal of relief, possibly, but consult your doctor and see what he says about it. The ash acts by the application of electricity hence the usual way is to use the Violet ray. The X-ray with the ash in the system is too severe.

“Do hope that that which is best for all concerned will be done. Know we are glad to be of a service, but do not want to suggest where the condition is so serious that radical changes be made.
