This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of March, 1928, in accordance with request made by his daughter, Mrs. [1312], via sister, Mrs. [265].

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the relief and improvement of same. You will answer any questions I may ask you regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before.

3. Now, we find conditions are not so well with the body as when we last had same here. There has at the present time arisen acute conditions, produced by congestion through the eliminating channels, thus causing hard pressure on an already increased high blood pressure and supply, and the toxins in the system not being eliminated, gives congestion through the whole of hepatic circulation, causing disturbance, nausea, and an OVER re-charge, as it were, to both the liver and the kidneys, or a slowing up of their action in the manner that is very detrimental to the physical forces of the body.

4. To bring any relief there must be a raised circulation, for the slowing up of circulation - with congestion in the intestines, liver AND kidneys - will NOT keep the forces active in the body without creating so much poison that the system would not be able to handle same at all; for, with the condition of plethora in heart already in its functioning, as has been given, this would not survive the pressure in same. Digital, or Digitalis, in very minute quantities, would be given for a quickening circulation, as WELL as those properties that would bring about reaction in the kidneys and in the liver, by stimulating externally and by giving that as has been outlined (the deep manipulation) for the relieving of pressure there.

5. Use hot packs that would be alternated, of turpentine and lard, across the back - with that of saturated solution of Epsom salts. Over the LIVER there may be put those packs of the OILS that will produce activity by absorption - hot flannels of Castor oil, but these need quick action for the body, see? Ready for questions.

6. (Q) Any special diet and nourishment that should be given the body? (A) Any stimulation for the excretory system. Not a special amount of food - rather as stimuli of egg or spirits frumenti that the alcohol is taken from by burning (though these, apparently, act in opposite direction from that applied - not externally). Not well to increase same with the increased circulation through that given for heart’s action, see? That easily assimilated may only be taken by the body. Cleanse the system by high enemas, would be well too. This will cool the body through these portions, and make more effective those applications for the kidneys and for the liver - see, the pains through the right side and about the liver, and the nausea. These must be moved out, if we would bring any relief that would be effective, or effectual, for the body’s relief.
