This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of February, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - through her mother, Mrs. […], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Washington, D.C. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, and those conditions and surroundings as we find that disturb the better physical functioning of the body.

  2. Many changes have come about since last we had same here. These are, as we find, a growth towards greater incapacitation as to controlling the contracting forces that are as an expression of the destructive forces both from physical and possessive influences in the physical functioning of the body.

  3. These, then, would indicate the general physical conditions are not so good.

  4. When there is the cycle of the physical reaction with the mental and spiritual forces of the body, as indicated, the contractions in the system have grown to be very, very severe.

  5. And they tend, now, to make for greater pressure upon the CONSCIOUSNESS of the body, which is that awareness between the activity of the sympathetic and the cerebrospinal forces; or that which carries IMPULSES to and from the sensory center in the physical functioning body, whether to the sensory force that responds through feeling in any portion of the body, through seeing, hearing, speech, or activity in ANY influence of the system. These are becoming more and more involved.

  6. As we find, as we have indicated, there may be the use or application of those influences that may make for the greater awareness or consciousness of constructive forces within this physical functioning. Thus there may be broken up more and more those negative forces, and created a greater positive force.

  7. So, by the use of those measures that have been indicated, or in the use of the oils and the general conditions, there may be created the consciousness or awareness of forces within the body as to bring the better conditions for this body.

  8. Ready for questions.

  9. (Q) We are studying Christian Science. If we can get her into a Christian Science Sanitarium, will it be helpful? (A) It would be, as we find, most HELPFUL for the body. It will require patience and persistence on the part of those handling the body, but would prove MOST helpful. We would advise doing so if possible.

  10. (Q) Will it help her to get a Life Reading? (A) This might be helpful to those in UNDERSTANDING the general situation. For the PHYSICAL FORCES of the body it would not be so helpful, until the negative forces may be replaced with more positive influences.

  11. (Q) What is the cause of these strange rigid attacks of torture? (A) As indicated, there are the more and more possessive forces of contraction in the muscular and nerve forces upon the SENSORY system of the body itself.

Do these, then, as we find indicated, and we may bring the better force for this body.

  1. We are through for the present.
