[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [459].]

Time of Reading 11:45 to 11:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1145].

  2. In the conditions as we find that exist precautions must be taken that the temperatures - and especially the effects of congestion by getting cold, or by being in those states of rigors from a disturbed assimilation to the circulation - do not hinder locomotory reaction; as in the lower axis in the upper portion of the sacral plexus, or in those connections with the 3rd and 4th DORSAL as to the organs of the auditory forces, or the creating of congestions there as to NECESSITATE operative forces upon the organs or the activities in the auditory forces.

  3. For too great an excess of congestion would not only injure the equilibrium or balance in the oil or fluids in the stirrup, the anvil, and the organs of the auditory forces, but would make for a drying of same that would produce a hindrance later - or immediately - in the activity of these organs and their functioning.

  4. Hence, as we find, it is necessary that there be kept a heat and yet the application with same of oils that would supply to the ganglia from which the impulses are received.

  5. So, at least twice a day, we would rub into these portions of the body a combination of equal parts Mutton Suet, Spirits of Turpentine, Spirits of Camphor and COMPOUND Tincture of Benzoin. Heat these and allow them to be dissolved before each application; and apply them warm to the areas from the base of the brain, around the back of the ear, across the throat and upper portion of the chest, and ESPECIALLY across the upper cervical and upper dorsal areas, and across the lumbar areas.

  6. The application of same to the soles of the feet will also aid, from the effects of the temperature and the nature of the infection to the assimilating forces of the digestive force; or the katabolism would make for more perfect coordination.

  7. Twice each day, do this.

  8. Ready for questions.

  9. (Q) What form of heat? (A) The oils being heated and massaged in the body, morning and evening.

  10. (Q) Should any other treatment for present condition of ears be given? (A) Keep these that are being applied in the present, you see. There may be necessitated the use of St. Jacob’s Oil in same, but preferably follow those that are making administrations. And use these rubs in conjunction with same, as indicated.

  11. (Q) Is there any danger of mastoid? (A) Always danger with fever and congestion.

  12. (Q) Is it necessary for an X-Ray? (A) Not necessary. If conditions CONTINUE to make for greater digression, though, it may be necessary; not in the present. For tissue of this kind, unless there are clogs, would not indicate any condition from X-Ray.

  13. (Q) Would you advise calling another physician? (A) Unless greater complications arise, not necessary.

  14. (Q) Should we call Kapatsky? (A) Not unless other complications arise, as indicated.

Do these. Keep the body quiet. Keep the liquid diet. Keep the bowels open. And these should progress properly.

  1. We are through with this reading.
