[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.Y.

  1. GC: You will answer the questions regarding this body, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes. Ready for questions.

  3. (Q) Have you any changes in diet to suggest? (A) As we find, only the fruits in season, - the fresh vegetables, berries or the like, these are well to become a part of the diet; for they tend not only to purify but clarify general conditions for the body.

These are the only changes, as we find needed.

  1. (Q) Should body drink more milk? (A) This as we find should not be a compulsory thing for the body, but rather the suggestions made and then leave it at that - for this body.

The activities of so much reminding to the body tend to make it become too aware of itself in this period and this age of development. Hence these should be left as suggestions, and encouraging the body to FIND these for itself, as it were; so that the directing of same is not so much by word of mouth as by that which may be illustrated in story, poems, or writings of one character or another, for the body to hunt for same itself also. This is the best way for the body at its present period of development.

  1. (Q) Do you recommend Borden’s Irradiated milk or Soy-Bean milk? (A) Soy-Bean milk a part of the time as we find is excellent, and better than Irradiated milk.

  2. (Q) Can body grow faster, and how? (A) It is growing at its normal development.

  3. (Q) How can nervous condition be improved? (A) This can be done more by suggestion in the directions, ways and manners indicated, which will enable the body to develop better in its mental reactions, in its physical as well as the general nervous forces of the body itself.

  4. (Q) Is she getting enough rest? (A) This is very well.

  5. (Q) Is she being handled right by Mother and [1309]? (A) As indicated, we would give the direction more by suggestion, than so much talking toward or at. Rather talk WITH the body as to searching out and developing the abilities of the entity to search out ways, means and manners.

  6. (Q) Should she return for a month to Camp Cotint, Cape Cod, where she was last summer? (A) If this is desired by the body, well!

  7. (Q) Should she change her Sunday School? (A) If this is desired by the body.

You see, the body is reaching that age, mentally and physically, in which it has definite choices. While these should be directed, they should not be directed in such a manner as to break the will, or as to cross the real purposes of the entity.

  1. (Q) What further suggestions have you for normalizing and developing sound body and healthy, happy life? (A) These as we find are to some extent, apparently, quite radical, but it will be found that these are the most effective ways with this body, if honestly, conscientiously and sincerely tried.

  2. We are through for the present.
