This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of May, 1943, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [1348], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, Mass.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes - we have had the body here before. Many changes have taken place since last we had same.

  3. In the main, so far as the physical condition is concerned, great improvements have come about. Yet, if there had been the adherence to some of the suggestions given, as to WHY there should be coordination in the circulation between the upper and lower portions of the body, we might have had better use of the lower limbs.

  4. As we find, there needs to be kept up those applications that have been suggested again and again, not here alone. Could those applications be added, in the mental and spiritual application of the tenets in its relationship (of the body) to its environs and surroundings, we find that these would add much more to the abilities of the body to use itself and to make for better improvement.

  5. There would be much helpful influence, for there has been some years lost by not using the Radio-Active Appliance as was given.

  6. Ready for questions.

  7. (Q) Is the present nurse satisfactory in every way? (A) This can best be determined by the body itself. Who is to judge others and their purposes, save the individual to whom such applications may be directed? We would not find fault.

  8. (Q) Should the Radio-Active Appliance be used in the same manner as heretofore indicated, or should there be changes? (A) Used as it has been suggested; and it would have made a vast difference had it been kept!

  9. (Q) What can the parents do to help this body? (A) Only in the mental, in aiding the body to become more self-reliant, and to become more in that way of USING the abilities in its contacts with others.

  10. (Q) How can they stimulate him to the point of making more of an effort? (After so many years of being taken care of, we feel he has lost much initiative in working for himself.) (A) Expect it of him, demand it of him - in mind, if not in activity; but by their precept.

  11. (Q) What can be done to make his legs stronger? (A) Using those applications that have been indicated. If the body is depending on other influences, then do so. We would use others. But if these are the choice of the individual, then stay with it!

  12. (Q) Is there still the ability to accomplish what his first Reading indicated, that he could expect to walk with some artificial help? (A) The condition has remained long inactive, and there is a cutting off in the locomotories. But if the circulation is coordinated, as we have indicated, eventually this can be brought about.

  13. We are through for the present.
