GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1215]; this we have had before.
-
As we find, conditions are improved from what we have had at other periods. Yet in the present there has been reached rather a static condition.
-
If there would be the bettered conditions, change of environment would be necessary, as we find. And there needs to be the recreation of those attitudes that WERE a part of the entity’s experience in its desire to meet those conditions that were a part of the first movements to activity.
-
There needs to be some mechanical (osteopathic) application that will make for a better coordination of the superficial and the deeper circulation, if there would be the improvements as should be the experience of this body.
-
Without the changes in environment, however, there would be little use of indicating the type, the character or the nature of such mechanical changes to be wrought.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) To what environment would you suggest that the body be moved, in order to meet this condition and have the treatments needed? (A) To an environment more of a universal, one-purpose - and of a spiritual - nature.
-
(Q) Any suggestions as to a place where this could be obtained? (A) This must of necessity be according to choices made by the entity and those responsible for the entity.
1215-10 M 21
-
(Q) People around him feel he has a decided fear complex holding him back. How can he be helped to conquer this fear of going back to normal life again? (A) As has been indicated, - a change of environment.
-
(Q) Is it time he do something concrete and constructive or would that be expecting too much of him? (A) As we have given, there should be brought more of a desire and purpose and ACTIVITY IN THOSE DIRECTIONS; but from the promptings of the SPIRITUAL nature and not material only.
-
(Q) Is Diana Walder still helping him? (A) This should be indicated from that given, as to the needs for the change.
-
(Q) Could his father and mother help him by a visit, to solve his problems, or is it better to let him work them out by himself? (A) If it is a part of that problem, yes - better that the parents visit him.
-
(Q) Should his parents trust his intuitions, or should they insist upon things as they see them? (A) There should be cooperation; not any attempt to coerce. But he’s reasonable - just keep him in that manner.

R1. 10/10/41 Letter from [1215]‘s mother [1348]: ”…The reading and your nice letters have been received, for all of which I am deeply grateful. [1215] has had a great deal of help since he has been in California…now over two years…of both a medical and metaphysical nature. He has now entirely given up the physical side and turned completely to the spiritual. The transition apparently marked the ‘lazy’ period he went through. We had a letter from him this morning asking us to have faith that at least he has found the way to help himself. We all know it can be done, for the Bible proves it, if he is a strong enough person to accomplish it. However, he shall have his chance. We shall go out in several months and I’ll write you again about the progress he has made…”

B2. 9/23/41 Letter from [1215]‘s mother [1348]: ”…It is a long time since I have written you in regard to my son [1215], but there has been really not very much to report. He has been in Los Angeles for over two years and simply loves it out there, for he can be out of doors the year around. It was with some misgiving we took him out there, but he had his heart set on it to the point where we just could not refuse him…he felt it was his opportunity for improvement. He has gained in many small ways but is still in his wheel chair. The special reason for my writing now is I feel he has gotten into quite a rut…which after all is not surprising after six years. He is the same fine courageous boy, determined to get well, but he is a very self-contained person who is not telling all he thinks and it often makes it difficult for those around him. I should appreciate your kindness in giving a reading for him… Has this entire freedom from worry been good for him, or otherwise…?”
