Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, W. Va. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1263].
-
As we find, the disturbing conditions, while of a serious nature, may be aided if there will be the persistent and consistent applications of those influences that may first allay and then gradually correct those disturbances through the ASSIMILATING and ELIMINATING system; provided there is the abstinence from those forces that tend to make the disturbance through the digestive forces of the body and in the soft tissue in same to become of a malignant nature.
-
These then are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1263] we are speaking of:
-
THE BLOOD SUPPLY, from the very age, from the very character of the condition, irregularity is produced in the heart’s activity; though not an organic disturbance. The natural flow and pulsation and pressure are abnormal, from the very hindrances that have been produced in the eliminations and those tendencies of the accumulations through the alimentary canal of pressures upon organs and the activities of the eliminating system. The lacerations and ulcerations that have existed in the pyloric end of the stomach itself are a disturbing factor and thus makes for the inability of the proper assimilation or the activity of the pancreas, the spleen, the liver and gastric forces upon the foods or that taken into the system.
-
IN THE NERVOUS FORCES, naturally, from the long standing condition, a pressure is produced especially upon the nerve forces in the upper dorsal area, both for the sympathetic and deeper or the trunk nerve centers that make for association of pulsations from the blood supply and the activities of the organs themselves through nervous forces. Hence we will find some very tender conditions and some lesions in the dorsal areas, between the lower cervical and the 6th and 8th dorsal center. All of this area must be taken into consideration for helpfulness to the body.
-
IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, there has existed for some times in the membranous activity of the face, the throat and the head and the neck, what first began as a catarrhal condition; then there were those activities that made for this refuse or effluvium to become a portion of the gastric flow through the stomach area itself. Thus ALL of these portions have suffered at times from varied distresses; as the dryness in throat, choking in the nose and the passages in the face and neck and head.
-
In the digestive forces, the stomach proper, from the accumulations and those lacerations first, and the tendency for caking in the lower portion of the duodenum, and in the pylorus, these pressures have created through the drying of tissue a prolapsus in the transverse colon, slow acting in the liver, and the general conditions and the weakness that comes from even the mental or physical activities of the body.
-
AS WE FIND, IN BRINGING AID TO THE BODY:
-
First we would begin by taking doses of Olive Oil; a teaspoonful once or twice a day.
-
Also twice a day, but not at the same time - let there be an hour’s difference in the time taken - we would take half an ounce of the Saffron tea. These properties are to act upon the gastric flow of the stomach itself.
-
After these have been taken for about three days - two teaspoonsful or a teaspoonful twice a day of the Pure Olive Oil, and half an ounce twice a day of the Saffron Tea - then begin with Castor Oil Packs, just as hot as the body can stand. Continue to give the Oil and the Tea, but do not begin the packs until they have been taken for at least three days, see? These we would apply until there is the activity, or eliminations through the alimentary canal.
-
After the second day use high enemas to evacuate the colon itself. In these we do not have the temperature of the water above the temperature of the body. To each gallon put a heaping teaspoonful of salt, a level teaspoonful of soda. This thoroughly stirred before used. Use this for two days in succession, once each day - the enema - until there is the thorough cleansing of the alimentary canal, see?
-
We would begin also, after this has been cleansed, with small doses of Alcaroid after two meals; quarter teaspoonful dissolved in a small quantity of water, then a full glass, and then another glass following same should be taken.
-
In the matter of the diet, keep more to the liquids and semi-liquids. Beef juices, broths - but do not confuse these two. Beef juice is for the strengthening of the body. The broths are to supply nutriment as well as weight. The juices of vegetables, combinations of these should be taken. Junket, arrowroot, properties of the nature would be better for the body for the first week or ten days.
-
Do these and then, after ten to fifteen days, we would give further instructions.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What was referred to, in saying to abstain from something? (A) Heavy foods and too much of narcotics, or sedatives that tend to clog and tend to produce the straining upon the activities of the peristaltic movement of the stomach, intestines, the duodenum - all of these - they form gas by their very activity upon this portion of the system.
-
We are through for the present.

R1. 10/1/36 Mrs. [959]‘s letter:
Dear Friends:-
The reading for Mr. [1263] was accepted with the most interest and amazement of any that I have been able to witness for some time. The family had gone to Battle Creek when I got it and since they have written that all the tests and examinations he has had revealed nothing that they could put their finger in so they are all so pleased and are anxious to get through and get home to begin the treatments here. I will try to let you know how they progress for I know you like to hear how it all comes out.
Hope you are all fixed up since the storm, Gladys told me you lost a little roof. That’s not so bad, that I was not there to feel like the sea was coming in on me.
Best wishes to all,
Sincerely, [959]
R2. 11/19/36 Mrs. [959]‘s letter: ”…I have a sad report to make on Mr. [1263]. You remember what a time we had on account of the condition of telephone? Well, had we gotten 24 hrs. sooner we all believe the result would have been different. They had made all plans for taking him to Battle Creek and were on the way when the reading reached me. So they just went on intending to have him gone over and upon the return home, take up the treatments as reading said. But in his weakened condition the trip and continued tests and examinations proved too much and he took pleurisy and lasted only a short time. In the tests they found nothing - so far as they went and the family is crushed and are censuring themselves for not accepting my efforts before, for they were appalled at the reading; thought it marvelous. I am working on another patient…”
