Miami, Fla.

Dear Mr. Cayce,

I have thought many times of you since you were here and of our ride to the Beach to-gether the nite before you left. Of Bimini, our trips there [See [996] series] and the information you gave both as to treasure and future development work [3976-4-5] - It is all very interesting

• yet I feel that I can not grasp the full meaning of your readings - the information you give in them is so deep one must closely study them and even then I realize there is more than I can figure out -.

This is also true of Broad Creek and the treasure there. You have told us - But we can’t see it - we can’t comprehend

• or grasp enough of the facts as you tell them to enable us to find the treasure.

We went to the place where our stake marked T was located

• again and searched closely surroundings with iron rods in all bumps at low tide and I feel that our search was thorough
• Then we set other STAKES and marked them - Now 1. Can you tell us how many stakes we set and 2. What they are marked! also 3. Which one of these stakes is nearest the treasure and 4. What is the stake nearest the treasure marked!

There are also two iron rods sticking up which we used ice probing -

Maybe you can tell us something more that will help us to locate it -. I will appreciate the information and please mail it to me direct -.

The family are all well at present and Mrs. [4498] has just returned from New York where she went to be present at [4500]‘s graduation.

Dear Mr. [943]:-

Very glad to have yours of a few days ago, but sorry to know you all haven’t been able to make a find as yet.

We will get the other two readings for you at the first opportunity, and I hope they will be worth while.

I wired you the information as I thought was right right from the reading as gotten yesterday afternoon. Now, I have thought and studied over this a whole lot. Of course, I know that if a body wants to disregard all precedents and say, by the readings themselves, there’s nothing in these

• even as he can take the scripture and reason - that it disputes itself, and I’ve thought about this information that is given here very particularly. Possibly, at first hand, one would say that all the others were eliminated because they were not mentioned. That is NOT my idea. And while we have never gotten information from the readings that would berate a fellow in any way - it might tell him he was crooked, or in the way of something else - but it is not what is termed fault finding - but, as I understand THIS reading, it is as this: You two people - [[2671]‘s son] and yourself - represent the TWO EXTREMES, and you have simply got to get to-gether, lay all the information that you have had concerning the location before you, reason it out as ONE story, laying aside questions that might have disturbed you, and be very positive that you AGREE on what the interpretation of the plan as is laid before you MEANS. Then work that plan - for, seemingly, the readings - or the source of the information - infer the correct information has been given, and if you two WILL, you may work it out! I’ll certainly be glad to know what your conclusions are regarding the matter.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Mr. [2671] and I mutually agreed that the best thing for me to do was to get into business for myself and the arrangement pleased me very much for many reasons. Since the real estate boom here in 1925 his business has been going down very fast on account of his methods of handling same. He will not listen to common sense nor will he listen to his friends or those that pretend to be his friends. He did not want me to devote any of my time to anything outside of handling the rental of the arcades here and that was not our agreement not withstanding the fact that I was getting very little out of that business, so I am very much pleased with my location now and believe that I can accomplish much more. Will have time to devote to our ideas without being severely criticized which I have considered very unfair and certainly not gentlemanly. I will go into details with regard to that when I see you personally.

In regard to the treasure located at Broad Creek channel, Mr. [4825] and I are going to spend two or three days there the first of next week and after we make a thorough search there we are going to Lostman’s River [[1279] series] to spend a week or more. I still believe in the information you gave and will follow it out now as per the instructions given in the Readings. If we should have the good fortune to find either location at Broad Creek or at Bimini [[996] series], it is my purpose to give Mr. [2671] his share the same as if he was with us and when that is done his interest goes no further. I am in this with you and am willing to go as far as is necessary to carrying out our ideas or the ideas of the forces that direct us and am convinced that it can be done when our lives and hearts are sincere in the matter, don’t you? Would like to have the advice of the forces on my future when you have an opportunity to give it.

Mr. [2671] Miami, Florida My dear Mr. [2671]-

Yours of March 30th came just after I had mailed the last reading given on Broad Creek, where the suggestion was made that if Mr. […] [your son] and Mr. [943] would correlate their ideas, and take all the information as had been given and cut out any questions that might have hindered, and then work out the directions as were given, and follow those explicitly, they would be able to locate the treasure - and I had been hoping that I would hear something from you all respecting what has been done regarding this, before following out the suggestions in your letter of the 30th. So that’s why you haven’t heard from me before this!

Yes, I have thought about our trip to Florida, and about meeting each and every one of you, and I’ve thought many times about various conversations and circumstances that arose during my stay there. Sometimes when I think of it, Mr. [2671], I don’t wonder that you don’t feel more juberous [dubious] about it than possibly you do - for, seemingly, there was so much of it that was a failure, thus far, that you could hardly think anything else - and I’m honest to say I don’t understand - but I know, from all our years of experience, there’s something wrong somewhere! Whether it’s in the information, or in how the information was tried to be applied, I don’t know!

Yes, I’ve thought quite often of our ride that night - and I didn’t see you any more to tell you good-bye. I wonder if you have ever had the other end of that dream, of if you have seen that one you told me about work out. Of course, I know, from the information that was given you last fall, there are a lot of changes to come about - and we never did have a chance to see whether we could get further information concerning what that was that would happen to you in ‘28, I believe it was. But, I am in hopes that we WILL have the opportunity, if you still desire that we see what we can get.

Now, as regarding the information that was given respecting [996] Bimini - that seemed quite wonderful to me. You, from having studied the situation, no doubt know whether any of it is plausible or reasonable or not - while I, in my little mind, don’t. I’ve never had occasion to THINK along such lines - never read of anything of the kind - don’t know even the possibilities of such a development - yet I believe, from other information that has been given that HAS worked out, this would work out, provided the individual uses same in a correct way and manner. I know this: It isn’t anything to be toyed with. I don’t know whether I ever told you of this circumstance or not - I hate to think of it even sometimes. Possibly it was only a coincidence. Anyway, here is the tale, and it is a true one - Some years ago (as you remember, possibly, I told you) I had a contract with a Mr. Noe [A. C. Noe, Hopkinsville, Ky.]. He was to do certain things and I was to do certain things, and whatever profit was made out of it was to be divided equally. In other words, he was to establish an office, furnish the necessary means, etc., for the work to be conducted - certain fees were to be charged for the work, and so on. Before I would enter into the contract, I had several men - who were supposed to be honorable, upright, good business men - attorneys, lawyers, doctors - to hear one of the readings, question it themselves, and tell me whether I had a right to make such a contract or not. The contract was drawn. The judges of the court - both county and circuit - told me it was alright, legal, and everything. Six or eight months after this was drawn, the circuit judge offered to pay Mr. Noe several thousand dollars for his contract. Several months later, when I felt Mr. Noe had abused the privileges that had been given him, my father being a part to the contract brought suit to try to make BOTH of us carry out our contract. The case was tried before this judge, who had given me a written opinion that the contract was legal, and who had later offered to buy the contract from Noe, and he ruled from his bench the contract was illegal, and dismissed the case. Something within me at the time made me rise and ask the judge if I might speak without being ruled as contempt of court. He said I might speak. That same something said, “For the lie you have this day enacted, the worms of your body will eat you up while you are yet alive!” In less than two years this was true, and he lived two years in this agony. Possibly it was only a coincidence - possibly it was playing with fire. Such may BE the reason that we have not been able to follow out, or to follow to a SUCCESSFUL END, information as has been given us concerning these two treasures.

You know it has made me wonder a whole lot since I came back

• it was a MIGHTY pleasant trip in a lot of ways - it was MIGHTY fine to meet all of you men! Everybody took special pains to make things pleasant for each and every one of us
• everybody went to a whole lot of expense - and yet - possibly we were all worse off in the end than if it hadn’t been. I know we all were - from the financial way, if we look at it from that end. I know you all were, from a financial way, if you look at it that way. But whether we are to judge things like that in that way or not I don’t know whether I know or not! And I’ve tried mighty hard to find out what’s the trouble - and the nearest thing I’ve gotten is what was given us in this last reading. We are not in accord one with another!

Now, I’d like for you to write me what they did about this, if anything. If you haven’t done anything - if you would like it, I’d like to go ahead and take the reading, just as you have suggested here. I don’t know whether we will get answers to questions that are to prove conditions that possibly do not relate to the treasure, and only relate to the actions of individuals at the present time, or not, but I’ll be mighty glad to try. Let me know about it.

A few days after I returned from Miami, I was called to New York. I wondered - while I was there - if Mrs. [4498] was still there. I thought once I’d wire you and ask you

• I would have liked to see her again, and to have met your daughter there in school - but I thought possibly, even if she was there, they were busy, and maybe they wouldn’t want to be bothered with anyone else just coming in. So I didn’t. But I had rather an interesting experience while there. Something that seemed to answer, or possibly it made a big question mark, from my worry of how things had turned out in Miami. I was there for the week end - from Friday until Monday afternoon. On Saturday I was invited to a dinner at the Pennsylvania Hotel. There were two hundred and fifty or three hundred people - guests - at the dinner. I did not know, until that afternoon, that I was even expected to go
• and only the president of this club knew that I was expected to come, but I found there twenty-three people, for whom I had given physical readings, and each one CLAIMED to have received personal benefits from same! Or I should say, possibly, twenty-three people for whom I had given readings, or some member of their family - and you know there was not a single one of these people that I had ever seen before (in my normal mind), nor not a one that had ever seen me before - though some of them I had given readings some fifteen years ago, and I had lived there in New York for six or seven months at one time and they had never been in to see me! Nor had I ever hunted a one of them up! Quite a remarkable experience, wasn’t it? Unusual - out of the ordinary! But certainly one that would make a fellow think. If these people HADN’T received benefits, they wouldn’t have any reason to stand up there before all the rest of those people and tell them they did! I wasn’t anybody to make a fuss over! And I certainly had never tried to make a fuss over them! But, evidently, there is something IN the information these people got, that they were able to apply! Why can’t we do it in this? What’s wrong? Is it the character of the information - the purpose of the information
• the character of the individuals - or the purpose of the individuals? It’s a hard thing to reason, isn’t it? Maybe there ISN’T any reason - BUT - if you could just see the letters we get every day, and see the effect the information does have on the hearts and lives of people, you know it is worth while or they are the darnest liars there are in this country! And isn’t that it brings any great thing for me
• it WASN’T! Not in this world’s goods - but the thing that is worth while, that it makes husbands say they are better husbands, and fathers, and sons and daughters that they are better sons and daughters - treat their own families better
• treat their own neighbors’ families better - and LIVE better! and they’ve got more hope for the life to come! But I don’t want to run on with a whole lot of this, for I know you are tired now.

R7. 4/16/27 Mr. [934]‘s ltr. to EC:

Mr. Edgar Cayce, Virginia Beach, Va.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

Mr. [4825] and I made another trip to Broad Creek channel the first of the week and made a thorough search in and around the triangle as mentioned in readings but found nothing. I can not see how it could be in the immediate surroundings as we have covered the ground more than once. If it is there it must be under the mangrove roots some distance. Stakes was placed in many places and numbered and I am anxious to know if you will give us the stake nearest the treasure and if the treasure is above ground

• how large a box and what shape. If the treasure is under mangrove roots and leaves - give depth. I believe that if you can get us the information as to the exact distance from the entrance of the channel from the main channel as follows: Place compass at entrance of small run and give number of feet in a direct line as NW or N as the compass would show and from that distance give number of feet E or NE as the compass would show, if this information can be had we might locate same. I am very anxious to locate this as I would like very much to repay Mr. [2671] what expense he has been too with reference to trying to locate these treasures. I believe that they can be located when followed out as the instructions given and it is my earnest desire to try to do that. We are passing away many valuable hours that would be devoted to the World proposition if we only had the means of getting necessary capital to start us going. Now that I am not connected with Mr. [2671] any more, I trust that you will try and get the information for me as quickly as possible. I have felt from the beginning that maybe Mr. [2671]‘s attitude towards the whole proposition might be the cause of not locating any of these treasures. Have had many arguments with him and will tell you in detail when I see you. If [4825] and I should locate either of the treasures at Broad Creek channel or at Bimini it is my desire to give Mr. [2671] his proposition after all expenses had been taken care of and would turn over my share to the cause as directed by the forces as would all future monies obtained in this manner or in any manner through information given by the Powers that Be.

We have not had a chance to get to Lostman’s River as yet and will try to get there next week if possible. Will advise you as soon as we do.

Have been getting my office in condition this week and will be open for business this next week. I have one of the nicest offices on Flagler Street, but, would rather be devoting my time to the completion of the plans as were outlined in the Organization of the world of finance [3976-4 & 5] and I know that you would to for the great good that can be done for Humanity will live in the hearts of men long after we are gone and I would rather occupy that niche in world history than to have all the money of the world. With the completed organization you would become the greatest factor for the good of Humanity since the birth of Christ.

Please let me hear from you at your earliest possible time and with kindest personal regards to you and family. [4477] enjoyed the pictures very much for which accept my thanks.

R8. 4/19/27 Mr. [2671]‘s ltr. to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce

Your letter of the 9th came but we have been so torn up & busy - yet I’ve studied it over several times closely.

I can’t say what is wrong with our treasure hunt it is a mystery to me. If there was nothing to it why could you tell so precisely the details both in Bimini [[996] series] & Broad Creek [[1274] series] - yet when we go there we search the places you give in location and find nothing.

It must be that we have the wrong tree at Bimini [996] and the wrong Creek at Broad Creek [1274] Channel - or something.

Mr. [943] and Mr. [4825] are out for themselves at present in one of the offices on … St. Will try to sell Real Estate until something develops of interest. They are well equipped and well located, and have been down once or twice recently to Broad Creek [1274] channel looking but I don’t think they have located anything - presume they have written you.

In the third paragraph of your letter you mentioned my reading [2671-4] and I assure you that I will appreciate it if you will try to find what will happen to me or my business in 1928.

I will also appreciate it also if you will give me another reading on Broad Creek [1274] Channel Treasure - and let me see what I can work out -. I have checked carefully your former readings and maybe I have an idea that will help - I have tried to assimilate all conditions - distances - directions and locations in all the various readings with a view to getting the results sought - and I am sure there are some points that we have all overlooked. Maybe these are VITAL. I am sure one of them is. I want to go again and make another search which I will do as soon as I can after receiving your next reading.

On the trips in the past I have tried to pull out, by argument and every other way I could, the different ideas of other members of the party - in order to try & get a different idea from their reactions on the information in hand in the hope that I might reach a conclusion that would give results - sometimes because of my ATTACKS they felt that I was skeptical, suspicious and doubtful as to your position and the information given sometimes they agreed with me, again I could get an expression that was worth while - all in all we have done our best so far and I believe that I more than anyone else realize your position and the fact that you give the information as it is given to you also that you have no power to change it other than the power that works through you - we have to take that as it is given through you and try to work it out and by assimilating the directions find the answer. Consequently I will be glad to try further on the treasure at Broad Creek [1274] and at Bimini [996] - But as we are working on Broad Creek Channel now will be glad to have you give the information asked in my former letter together with any additional information you may be able to get.

Also please don’t forget me on 1928 [2671-4] when have the opportunity.

I note what you say about NOE. I knew him personally while he was at the Alta Vista across the street from the Halcyon and feel that your knowledge and mine as to him is similar -. I repeatedly refused to have any business with him or to be connected in anyway with any of his schemes - I think this was the same man you refer to -.

I have read with interest your trip to N.Y. Mrs. [4498] was there and I’m sure she and [4500] would have been mighty glad to see you. She was there about two weeks then they both came to Washington after [4500]‘s graduation and stayed in Washington another year - Then Mrs. [4498] came home & [4500] went back to N.Y. for a month’s special finishing work and will be home early in May -. We appreciate your thought of us and hope sometime to see you and your family and Miss Davis when we can all sit down and review - it all over to our mutual satisfaction and by then possibly we will have TREASURE and personal information to talk about.

I’m still thinking & wondering - what it is! What it can be and whether that same something - will lead me right - I hope so.
