Dear Mr. [2671], Mr. [943], and all:-

I felt considerably disappointed when I had the wire at DeLand, and more so when I had the two when I arrived here.

We were delayed a day in DeLand, on account of not being able to get reservations.

But I am in hopes that the information we have here will prove to be just the right thing - and, as I said in my wire, I believe it will be necessary for you to study all of this to-gether to understand it.

I know the old adage goes, “Far off fields look green,” and when tackling propositions of this kind I have often felt that, could I be on the ground, there certainly wouldn’t be any trouble in locating just what we were looking for. But in this case I am sure this has been tried out just as thoroughly, sincerely, and conscientiously, as it has been possible to do. That the treasure is there I feel absolutely certain, and especially so after we see the reading that we have to-day. If I am to believe any of it, or any of the work that we have ever done, I can’t help but believe that it is there. Just what is the trouble - just why we haven’t been able to get our hands on it - I don’t quite understand. But I believe we will find it.

Now that we are at home (while of course we haven’t had time hardly to look around - and as the telegraph operator remarked, “Seven people have wired you for readings to-day from as many different parts of the country”), naturally we think of the last few weeks in a very personal way and manner, and we feel drawn to all of those it has been our pleasure to meet and be thrown with - to know them better - and we can only say we certainly appreciate the opportunity that has been ours, and we hope that we have so conducted ourselves that others may feel just as well toward us as we do toward those we have been with and among. And while we have been trying to do a very definite thing - a thing that we feel would bring better conditions in the lives of each and everyone of us - and I know all of you have gone to trouble and expense, just at a time when perhaps each of you felt the least fit to expend yourselves in such a way and manner; yet I hope - even though we should fail, just at this particular moment, to locate this treasure - none of us will ever feel that the time and money has been badly spent; for after all, money is of the moment. That builded in the mind and heart of each lasts throughout not only the years of this experience but is builded in our very souls; for friends, purposes, and dreams, are the builders of human character, and I’m just in hopes that we have proven as beneficial to all of you as all of you have to each of us.

Just as soon as I have a moment I hope to be able to write you again. I have many hard problems staring me in the face

• I don’t know just how they will work out, yet in His Way I trust and hope; for to do good, to make life worth while, to make the other fellow stop and think, must be the mission of those who would serve best.

I hope whenever you have the opportunity you will drop me a line, for you know we will all be anxious - not only under the present conditions, but under each and every circumstances that may arise, and wherever and whenever it is possible for us to be of help, I hope you will find us ready and willing.

R3. 3/10/27 Mr. [943]‘s letter to EC:

My Dear Mr. Cayce:

I regard that it was impossible for us to go into details further regarding and, or rather the “powers that be,” plans on the future welfare of the world [See 3976-4 and 3976-5 on 2/11/27, etc.] and of mankind. My faith is still unshaken in the information given and believe that what we will yet find and do all things as given while you serve. I do not understand the last information given as 6 ft. 3 in. [See 1274-7 on 3/5/27] from the stake - for I know the treasure is not located there unless it is buried several feet underground. We probed about 18 to 20 inches. There may be some reason for not giving the exact information to those seeking treasure for I know a few does not believe in the information and may have a feeling of such influence that the forces will not give the information so that same may be applied correctly. Don’t you believe that it may be possible that this might be true.

As soon as we get your last information [See 1274-8 on 3/9/27] will give it another search and believe that we will be successful. Am trying to make arrangements now to find the one on Lostman’s River. [See [1279] series.]

We will forward you questions with reference to Bimini in a few days [See [996] series] and I know we will get some further valuable information.
