GC: You will answer the questions regarding this body, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Is Welch’s Grape Juice preferable to Premier unsweetened? I like Premier much the best. (A) If that is the more desirable, use same. The Welch’s, however, has more of the elements in same that aid in the reduction of the carbohydrates in the system, - and thus tends to supply the food values in a way that is in keeping with that which has been indicated as the purpose for taking same.
But if the other is more desirable, and the appetite is such that the Premier is desired, then use same.
-
(Q) Is Vitamin B and also E good for deafness? If so, should I take one or both? (A) Vitamin B is not in the direction of a helpfulness. E is. Take E.
-
(Q) Should I continue to take head and neck exercise after treatments stop? (A) By all means! For, this will tend to keep the circulation, and the improvements that are gradually being noted, in the right direction.
To be sure, with the first - even possibly the second of the finger surgery treatments - there will apparently be caused an upsetting, with more of a roaring, and more disturbing conditions; but gradually this as we find will become more and more normal, and - as it were - the body become more and more used to the changes being wrought.
-
(Q) Would you advise me to take another series of treatments in late Fall from Dr. Richardson in Norfolk? (A) This may be best indicated after there has been carried out those so far suggested; and dependent, of course, upon the response to same, see?
-
(Q) After finishing all treatments given in Reading, would you advise further treatment from Dr. Schoelles? (A) This, too, will depend upon the response. This can be best given in the early Fall, or in September or early October.
-
(Q) Can you tell me anything about my right eye? Was ulcer on eye caused by iron rust? Will condition clear up? (A) As we find, this is a form of infection; and it should clear - with a very mild antiseptic, and the general treatments aided by the head and neck exercises - with the general treatments to the body and the head.
-
(Q) Had I better leave needle work alone for a while? (A) Had better leave needle work alone until there are better conditions, and until there is not the causing of pain or watering of the eyes.
-
(Q) Is it advisable to go to northern Michigan this summer? (A) This depends, of course, upon whether it interferes with the general welfare physically and otherwise. It depends, of course, upon the attitude of the body. If desired, as we find it would be very well.
-
(Q) Shall I use the Radio-Active Appliance thru the summer? (A) We would use same through the summer.
-
(Q) Have you any further suggestions for the summer? (A) These should be kept in line with the suggestions which have been indicated through the series of applications for general improvement.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 6/28/40 “Many thanks for my reading and I am enclosing a check to cover the cost. This came to me as a birthday gift from Mr. [1151]. ‘Angels surely tread on this earth.’ I enjoyed the reading and am trying to follow instructions very closely. Tomorrow we are leaving for Michigan, so I shall have to discontinue my treatments for a few weeks.”
R2. 7/22/40 Sending reply to questionnaire (below), she contributed $5 to the vault fund for housing the readings.

INDIVIDUAL CASE REPORT
Date of Reading: 12/21/36 Case No.: 1309-1—3
(PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS CAREFULLY)
(1) In your opinion did the analysis of the Reading cover the condition? Yes.
(2) Give symptoms of condition described correctly? Yes.
(3) What was the physician’s analysis of this condition? An Osteopath found the conditions as described. An M.D. had previously called the skin condition “The Seven Year Itch.”
(4) Have the suggestions given in the Reading been followed exactly as outlined? Yes.
(5) For how long? For two months, as requested in Reading.
(6) Describe the extent to which improvements have resulted? The “Itch” had cleared up previous to the “Reading”, tho it persisted for fifteen years previously. Through Osteopathic treatments, as prescribed, the spine and back condition greatly improved. After about the third treatment, hearing was better immediately following treatment but would only stay improved for about a day, thereafter. This same condition followed each treatment. There was no improvement noted from the finger-surgery treatments. There has been no permanent gain in improvement of hearing, tho a 33% improvement was promised.
(7) Comment.

R3. 9/21/40 Mrs. [1158]‘s letter to GD: “HL wrote a lovely letter to Mrs. [1309] asking her to send in some questions for a ck. reading which the Assoc. wanted to give her to complete their files, since her rdg. did not bring the results promised and since, as far as any of us can tell, she followed every suggestion most conscientiously down to the last ltr. I am particularly glad about this, because it had a very bad nervous reaction on Mrs. [1309] when she found her efforts, plus all the money she had spent, had seemingly been in vain. She told me the shock and disappointment had been so great, when she realized her hearing was no better at all (if not worse) that it made her lose her faith in God, and she hasn’t been able to pray since, except formal routine prayers…She said she felt as if she never again wanted to look at a glass of grape juice, or even hear the word ‘radio- active machine’…She became really interested in working out her questions with me…”
