This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 13th day of August, 1926, in accordance with request made by her husband, [900].

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the improvement of same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.

3. Now, there are some changes for the better in the physical conditions of this body. The condition at present shows the body is pregnant, and that this should not be under the existent conditions, but may be, through the continuation of those adjustments necessary to bring the nearer normal conditions of the organs of the pelvis, brought to that condition wherein the system may function to that normal force wherein the full time may be carried through, and the development of the fetus be in the normal way and manner, see?

4. There is, as is seen, that weakness in the womb proper, in that it is not in proper position, see? The walls of the abdomen being loose, or lax, through the condition having existed in the pelvis, and by the strain as was produced on same when in condition at another period. This correction should then be made by those stimulating centers that bring the normal position of the organs of the pelvis. As we would see, there should be at least eight to ten more such adjustments, with the mental forces placed in that same position which has been given regarding such conditions, see? Then the constant care - that is, two to three weeks apart such adjustments should be, that the condition will grow in the normal way and manner. Ready for questions.

R1. 8/18/26 Husband [900]‘s letter:

“The enclosed (dreams of [136]) are very interesting and will be of great interest. You know the readings long ago said my first pupils would be my loved ones about me. They are not easy ones and [136] has been quite a rebel. She insisted that all the light business given in the readings was bunk. Then came the first vision with her mother. Now she is not so sure - in fact more inclined to believe. Poor kid - she wanted to know if reincarnations weren’t often quick. She wanted her mother back again to tell her, you see, even if as another person. What little children we are, and so I recognize the wonder of your psychic work, that has brought real mind maturity - note I say mind, not intellectual, although the latter has furnished the means or instrument.

“More interesting are the events surrounding the second vision. [136] took 3 osteopathic treatments for her wrenched back, then decided to take no more. I tried to persuade her and she grew angry with me, although she has backache. Night before last I prayed that the psychic activity in the One Mind, that was aware of the condition in [136]‘s psyche [her mother] appear and prevail upon her to do that which was best for herself and the forming child. In other words I asked the Lord to join with me in this endeavor to better facilitate His creation. The wonderful response came as the second dream indicates.

“Then [136] cried and said she wanted her mother. I told her to pray to the Lord as her mother - to call the Lord, ‘Her’ and that her mother would come. [136] said she was tired of that talk, but when she went to sleep her mother came in vision. Now all the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t keep [136] away from the osteopath.

“I cannot force her to anything, of course - should not try, yet when she attempts to meet me on my grounds - to beard the lion in the den, she meets complete defeat. She doesn’t want to believe the readings, yet she does want her mother. I tell her how she may reach her mother and she does reach her just that way and her mother confirms the readings. For the time [136] is subdued. If not convinced, she is wondering

• wondering - wondering. ‘It is funny how things happen to and for you,’ she said. ‘Not with a grand show or hurrah,’ I replied. ‘When everything looks the worst, conditions quietly and surely change - even more than that desired is granted.’ ‘It is uncanny,’ she answered, still wondering.”

R2. 9/14/26 P.S. was added as follows:

“I misplaced these dreams] of [136]‘s and now that they have turned up again am adding 2 dreams of recent date that seem to fit right in as they pertain to her health and the interpretation of these dreams will probably prove a virtual physical reading that will prove a great asset at this time and also be a mental reading on the questions and problems involved in the dream.
