This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of November, 1926, in accordance with request made by her husband, Mr. [900].

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [136] of New York City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the entity, the enquiring mind, [136]. This we have had here before. The dreams, the visions, which come to the entity, come through those forces as have been outlined, and may be used or applied by the entity in the development, in the assistance in the gaining of that knowledge necessary, in the ways and manners outlined for the entity. Ready for dream.

3. (Q) Friday morning, November 19, 1926. It was raining STARCH and I dreamed that I should go out in the rain of starch and put it on my side to ease the pain. (A) In this there is presented to the entity this emblematical condition, as is seen, that may bring to the physical body, or physical being, that which would assist and which would prove beneficial to the entity - for, as is seen, there are those elements necessary for the well being of the physical body - starches being one of those elements, one of those elements that has been lacking in the physical or material make-up of the body for a time. And in the distribution of used forces, as is seen, is carried on through the exercise of the functioning of organs in the right side of the body, and through which much distress has come to the body at times, there is shown the lack of these elements in the physical being.

It is much as may be described as being presented in this vision and manner as in THIS way would towards the mental: The knowledge of an individual is in the mind of an entity, and for that entity to be in the position of being crosswise, as it were, brings to the mental forces of such an entity a longing, a something that will not seemingly be supplied, answered or filled, without the presence of that individual entity’s personality or being. Same as is seen in this is given, see? that without that necessary element in the body - as is seen that the entity should go out and be rained upon, or receive within self. Then apply same through those foods, through those conditions which bring this condition to the body, or those elements into the physical being as will bring about the ease and better conditions for this body, see?

4. (Q) What is causing this pain, or what are the causes of the formation of gas and other causes? (A) That lack of that element necessary to absorb those conditions which go about in the fermentation, and in the preparation for the building up of the body that is necessary. Eat more starches, as it were, then, and we will find these conditions decreasing.

5. (Q) I fainted on Fifth Avenue, falling to the street and knocking out several teeth. Leo […] seemed to have something to do with this. (A) Teeth, fainting, and the elements of the suggestions which are seen, are indicative of a cross which comes to the entity through the actions, or rather spoken word, from Leo […] being forwarned, be prepared. Let not these take root in the mind in the way and manner as to bring detrimental conditions to the entity.

6. We are through for the present.

11/20 or 11/21/26: “I dreamed of the play we saw - i.e. ‘We Americans’ and then experienced my mother’s presence right in my room with me. Her presence was so real, so pronounced and so close to me, the vision of her being there so vivid that I jumped up in fright and ran from my bed into [900]‘s.”

11/24/26: “Dreamed I was insane - my mind gone and reason unbalanced. My mother [139] was there and was having the awfullest time with me.

“Has this any bearing on a past condition that did take place, [See 136-2] in a measure, at the time of my engagement? To what does it refer in my present life?” [See this interpretation in 136-50, Par. 9-A.]

11/24/26 Husband [900]‘s letter: “I guess there may be a correlation between mine and [136]‘s above stated, as I have indicated in the 2nd question of mine, but if I am mistaken this question of mine will take care of matters.” [See 900-283 on 11/26/26 re. interpretation of his dream also of 11/20 or 11/21/26 regarding [136]‘s mother, [139]].

B1. Mrs. [136] had, previous to becoming pregnant, started a strict reducing diet. Evidently she had kept to it too strictly, during her pregnancy.
