This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of June, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self through Mrs. [601], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Michigan. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

  2. As yet there is not as we find a great deal of change, though there is some anxiety removed - and yet there is some doubt and fear in the general conditions about the body.

  3. But if those precautions are taken and those conditions are carried on, we find that they offer - as has been given - the greatest opportunity for staying off that which would necessarily make the body a constant invalid and an untold sufferer.

  4. Occasionally, after the stools especially, use a little of the Ash - an eighth of a grain injected in the rectum through a baby enema bulb, see? This will tend to aid in producing better coagulation.

  5. The rest we would keep much in the way that has been indicated, with a great deal of patience - and more and more prayer.

  6. Ready for questions.

  7. (Q) Have the Mullein Stupes been properly applied? (A) These are very good, though they may be put a little lower over the pubic bone.

  8. (Q) How often should they be given? (A) These naturally become very aggravating at times, but as we find they will reduce the inflammation and make for the better conditions if used at least once a day or twice a day - if it does not become too much of a drudge for the body.

  9. (Q) How long should they be kept up? (A) Until the inflammation has been relieved!

  10. (Q) Why is there bleeding after evacuation or passing fluid - in liquid stool? (A) It’s the breaking of cellular force, naturally.

  11. (Q) Does this cause the burning sensation in rectum and across lumbar area? (A) This causes the burning sensation, to be sure.

  12. (Q) Please outline the types of soft foods and liquids to be taken at this time. (A) Beef juice, fish, boiled or broiled, vegetables and vegetable soups, broths, lamb or chicken, such as the cold foods. Milk is not so good - this is harmful rather in the condition; and if taken or used, use the Dry Milk. Arrowroot, blancmange, junket, all such as these.

  13. (Q) Would whole wheat bread be included? (A) Whole wheat bread can be included.

  14. (Q) Any eggs? (A) Only the yolk of same.

  15. (Q) What causes a fullness and soreness in gallbladder area? (A) Natural reaction from the poor eliminations in the system. These as we find arise from poor eliminations. Hence the massages and rubs as indicated.

  16. We are through for the present.
