This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 10th day of November, 1924, in accordance with request made by self - [140].

1. GC: You will give a horoscope reading, for this entity; a reading giving the effects of the solar systems on the life and destiny of this entity in the present earth plane, naming the planet, or position, from which the soul took its last flight. You will give the vocation in life for which this body is most adapted, or may adapt itself, giving also the high points of the life in former appearances, giving the name and place of sojourn in the earth plane, with the characteristics brought forward in the personality in the present life.

2. EC: Yes, we have the conditions, the impressions as given, here, with respect to will as thus far exhibited and without reference to the will as is to be manifested in the present earth’s plane.

3. In the horoscope as would be given for the present entity, we find the soul’s forces took its position in earth plane from the influences direct of Jupiter and of Venus, and Mercury’s influences, with those afflictions in Moon and Saturn, with the better influence in Uranus and in Arcturus.

4. The effects then as manifested in the body, without the will’s influences, are as these, for we find the birth comes in that position when the earth’s change comes near the cusps. Hence one who has many conflicting emotions, yet with the purpose of the Jupiter influence, or ennobling in the extreme.

5. One whose greater distresses will come in the early part of the life. One that should be warned of accidents near the 21st of December in present year, when the afflictions are in the square of the influences that would be toward detrimental conditions, and again in the early part of April, 1925. The first from accidents, the second from fire, for the Mars’ forces are at the cross with the other influence. These, in their afflictions, might bring detrimental conditions. Be warned that the body be careful, especially of fires in April, of car or train accident in December.

6. As to the influences, we find one given to be what would be termed in earth’s plane “a perfect love” in every way.

7. One given to the higher ennobling influences on self, yet bringing many questions from others.

8. One given to be in the influence of affections through the greater portion of the life, especially in the wedded life, yet one that should be dominated, or controlled, by other influences, especially those under the Uranian influence.

9. One that will find the necessity of using will’s force in keeping from those positions wherein there would be evil spoken of the good the body would do.

10. One that is given, especially, to be the student of the higher principles in well doing, or in ecclesiastical thought, yet often mis-judged in intent and purpose.

11. One that will, in the middle and latter portion of life in present plane, make the good ennobling, loving, home for those gathered about the body. One that should ever keep the ennobling and the elements that lead to such in the thought and intent, and in will, for this brings much of the world’s goods and therewith places great responsibilities in this entity’s hands.

13. We find just before this in the Russian forces, as in the first rule in now Ukraine. In this we find the entity then in same sex and in the rule as was exercised by the peoples of the chosen that sought to give relief to others of the same faith.

In the one before this, we find in that of the wife of the guard in the rebuilding in the walls of the Holy City, and in the present we find these again in the same position as at that time, and the necessity in the present that the rule of the one in the head of household shall be the one to submit in many ways to. In this the greater development came to the entity’s forces.

In the one before this in the days in Poseida when the laws were given in that land, and the entity then was in the courts of the people as taken from other lands and brought to this, and became the one that gave much of the licentious intuition to the peoples in the land to which the entity was brought. 16. In the personalities then as exhibited in the present, we find those that give the influence of others not understanding the intent and purpose.

17. Again in the household, where the will’s influence must be manifested to those about the entity at present.

18. In the next the position that brings this world’s goods to the dictation of the entity, and again will’s forces must be manifested.

19. Use, then, these as given and develop in that sphere that will bring entity farther along to the goal.

R1. 11/15/24 letter from husband [137]: ”…Before I go any further I am going to take the liberty of asking if, at your convenience, you will give a reading on how [140] can avoid the dangers her horoscope mentions. Namely car accident around Dec. 21st and fire in April of this year. The warnings of these things have given her some uneasiness and would appreciate your giving as complete information as you can…

”…[140] and Mrs. [[4255], (140’s mother)] are acting on the advice of your readings and feel the benefit from them and of course their appreciation to you…”

R2. 11/18/24 Mrs. [140] wrote: “Your horoscopes which you sent [4255-2, [143-1 and 140-3] were most interesting and have given much time in rereading them. As [137] has probably told you, mine frightened me a lot and have been frightened to death to ride in autos, go in a train or to anyone’s home for fear of fire, as that has always been my greatest fear. Can’t you tell me what to do to avoid these accidents? [She reported on 140-2, 4156-1 and 4255-1.]

“I want to ask you two VERY personal questions which I hope you will please NEVER let be known.

“[137] has lost a great deal of my money on the exchange in gambling. The thing he bought was a good stock but went way down after he had it and instead of selling out at a small loss he held till he couldn’t any more and lost a LOT. A week later the stock went way up. He is trying to make it back, I know, and it is all he thinks about but he never knows when to stop, and am always afraid he’ll go deeper and deeper and lose everything we both have. What can I do with him?

“Also a married couple that we go with a lot, the husband has become very attached to me; he tries to come over and see me, meet me for lunch or anything that I would consent doing. Have told [137] about this several times; he spoke to him once and for a while he was alright, but then [137] got very nice to him again and now it is starting all over again. I am afraid of all this, as I liked him a lot before [137] and I were married and am afraid of myself now.

“Please tell me what to do about all this and how to go about it. I hope you don’t mind these questions but I don’t know who else to go to.”

R3. 11/25/24 EC wrote: “I’m glad to know that you and your mother [4255] also found your horoscope rdgs. interesting and instructive. I am sorry, however, to know that it has frightened you, or caused you worry, warning you of certain days regarding certain conditions. I’m sure you need not be unnecessarily alarmed; merely a warning such as you would have from one telling you that a bridge or a building was unsafe. You would certainly not want to enter that place, or go over that bridge, unnecessarily; just so on these specific days and times as given. Be warned of taking a trip in a car or automobile on days given. Be warned respecting fire on the days given. In other words, be cautious and careful but do not let it frighten you into something a great deal worse than the happening itself. I am sure if you will look at this in that sort of a way you will find the thing reasonable, sensible, and worth while and not a thing to make you afraid or frightened over anything.

“Now, these are quite different from that given regarding [143]. In her case, a warning that you must be patient AND patient, and then patient some more, with her training - especially when she is at that moulding age, when her future thoughts and expressions are being made. That is not a thing to worry over, nor make you over-anxious, or even alarmed, but rather that which would give you that necessary for your own individual development, as IS necessary from your OWN horoscope rdg.

“Just as some other conditions you mentioned. If you will read your horoscope rdg., you will find that from your relation with your present husband [137] you may expect both of those conditions to come into your life that you tell me of at the present time, and IT IS YOUR WILL that must be manifested in both cases. In the first, regarding the money, you would find it a great deal better to subject it ALL to his care, for I am sure you have already seen the development of his own abilities which will make him a great power in the financial world. As to the other, be very, very careful; for regarding your own development, for your child’s development, and for your husband’s, you know what is the right thing and you will know just when he would have you say no (your husband), and EXERCISE YOUR OWN WILL FORCE.”
