This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the David E. Kahn home, 20 Woods Lane, Scarsdale, N.Y., this 5th day of November, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - [1429], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:45 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, [1429]; this we have had before.
-
As we find, while there are changes since we last had same, and there are little improvements in some directions, there has not been the carrying out fully of those suggestions that have been made for the body.
-
The eliminations have not been as active as indicated, nor the use of those applications in that direction has been as consistent - nor the corrections - as indicated.
-
If these were carried out conscientiously and consistently, we would find the swellings, the inflammations in those portions of the body, disappearing.
-
For as we have indicated, these arise from the lack of the proper eliminations through the system.
-
And with the local applications of that as we find that would not only act as an antiseptic but as healing forces for those portions, or abrasions as well, we would find bettered conditions.
-
We would have also, now (though we would follow all as has been indicated), corrections osteopathically OR chiropractically given, for the activities to the eliminatings through the alimentary canal. Use not only those in the upper dorsal and cervical area but those corrections in the lumbar axis also.
-
Do those, and as we find, we would bring the better physical forces for the body.
-
Be consistent with a diet that is more alkalin than acid. None of the meats that are rare or half-cooked, or no fried foods.
-
In the bodily relations, here we find disturbances that have at times made for the mental activities that have not brought to the better physical forces of the body.
-
For when resentments or animosities are held, or the attempts to take advantage of others in underhand ways become a part of the self, these of THEMSELVES create those barriers within the mental and physical forces that must eventually find their expression in the physical activities of the body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Should I take any other medicine for the breaking out? (A) Use those properties as an antiseptic and a healing, as in the Cuticura Ointment and Soap; or the remedies that are of the Piso [Pazo?] make that are for the abrasions. Or use prescription DDD.
-
(Q) What is the outlook for me? (A) This may be approached from many varied angles. As just indicated, unless one in one’s relationships with others is continuing to be creative, or helpful, or efficient in service as well as attitudes and activities, then one cannot expect the activities to make for a constructiveness and an outlook of hopefulness.
If there is the attempt to forego these and become, as it were, one seeking to take advantage; these become hindrances.
Then, the outlook depends upon the attitude; for the attitude and the application of same makes for the outlook upon the experiences.
Hence the outlook, if it is constructive within self, is hopeful. If it is pessimistic, and the attempts are for the use of friendships or conditions or circumstances, these make for a pessimistic outlook - and they become not only mentally disturbing forces - but, as we have indicated, create activities in the physical self that become destructive influences.
-
(Q) Can it be advised in this Reading, whether or not I should or could sell my building for a reasonable price? (A) As we find this depends upon the manners of approach. There is, to be sure, a market for such; in the present. While not an altogether satisfactory one at the present time, yet as we find with the conditions that are being planned for the surroundings of the building, this may in the spring - or in the early part of the year - be disposed of in a satisfactory manner.
-
(Q) Should I rent my place to the same party or not? (A) With provisions for the sale of same, or for changes, yes. With provisions, rent to same individual.
-
(Q) Any further advice? (A) Keep the mental attitude, as has been indicated, if the physical or mental being would be more in accord with that which will bring the best to the experience of the body.
-
We are through with this Reading.

I am going to sell some property or not? right away or later? how long, or would you advise selling? Is the party that’s renting going to renew his lease now?
