This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of April, 1927, in accordance with request made by her father, Mr. [137].

Time of Reading 3:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will give a thorough physical reading for this body, giving the name of disease, if any, and specific remedy. You will answer the questions I may ask you regarding this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.

3. Now, we find the conditions have not assumed those conditions as to be termed a specific disease. While the general system has assumed those conditions from the condition being produced in the body from improper elimination, and the streptococci being produced in and about the duodenum, this, as we find, is produced by too much relaxation in portions of the system and not coordinating in others. This is as condition produced from MANY sources, specific being that of the pressure as is induced from the formation of conditions in the 9th and 10th dorsal plexus, see? from too much pressure being exerted there by a movement, or an accident, or action, to the body, see? This was caused some six to seven (6 to 7) days ago, see? The condition, then, is as of high temperature, with the inability to get any condition to ASSIMILATE with the gastric juices of the body, and the tendency is for the body to be under the stress of a hypogastric convulsive force, see? that is, the pneumogastric and hypogastric plexus cause the gastric forces to be forced up, rather than down, by too much relaxation from these plexus forces, see?

4. Then, to overcome these conditions, we would take small sips of limewater and cinnamon water, see? These may be alternated, and may be given as often, or as far apart, as seems best for the condition, see?

5. And massage into those regions of the dorsal (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, see?), and across the abdomen, those properties of Golden Seal or Life Everlasting - the essence of this, see? and WEAKENED about twenty percent (20%), see? of the essence, warmed and massaged into these portions of the body.

6. And correct osteopathically that condition existent in this region.

7. This will reduce the temperature, this will produce the better assimilation.

8. And the foods as will be needed then will be that as would be accorded with the condition by one in charge of body. Do that, for [143]. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) Should the limewater and cinnamon water be given together, or separate? (A) No! Taken separate! These may be ALTERNATED, as given, to meet the needs of the conditions, see? but the Life Everlasting, THIS is as to STRENGTHEN the secretions from absorption, as well as the massage to the right side, or across the abdomen, see? and especially down the right side from the region of the duodenum, or lower portion of the stomach, correcting the condition in the 9th and 10th dorsal. These conditions will be found there, see? as a lesion, or relaxing of this portion so that the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus do not coordinate in the functioning, but throw back towards the lower portion of the system, causing nausea, and by the increasing of these conditions and portions of the body brings about that of the temperature, PRODUCING condition by adding to the blood these conditions - the streptococci, see?

10. We are through with this reading.
