This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of December, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1433], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., in letter request by Mrs. [760].

1. EC: Yes - while we do not find the body here in the immediate present, it is on the way!

2. These as we find - the general conditions of the body - show much improvement; while necessarily these are slow in the beginnings.

3. We would keep the eliminations improved by the use of the high colonics. These we would make body-temperature. To half a gallon of water use a level teaspoonful of salt and a heaping teaspoonful of soda. Yes, this is opposite from some that we have indicated, but there is needed more of the alkalinity here, you see, in the solution - body-temperature; these would be the proportions for that quantity of water. In the last water use a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline to a quart and a half, as the rinse water; or to leave portions of such in the system and the effect of same will be most beneficial.

4. Keep up the general rubs.

5. Recharge the activities for the Appliance.

6. Following each of the Appliance treatments, massage the body GENTLY, ALL OVER, with Olive Oil; this rubbed gently until the body absorbs same. Especially this across the sacral and across the back of the neck and across the shoulders.

7. Keep close to the diets that have been indicated.

8. We would keep the manipulations that have been given, regularly. We would not put these off more than two or three treatments before beginning the regular series again, you see.

9. As to changes in the osteopathic manipulations or corrections:

10. We would GRADUALLY release those pressures now that will be found in the curving portion of the coccyx. Also when these are raised - that is, the coccyx - by the injection, of course, into the rectum (portions of this will have to be done) WHEN this is being raised, HOLD the finger over the 1st and 2nd cervical plexus; or else we may make too great a strain on the pressures to the head.

11. Do these, and we will find improvements increasing the faster.

13. (Q) Should the Soda Packs be continued? (A) To change these now to the Tartaric Acid Packs, rather than the Soda, will be better. Dampen the cloth and make a layer of the Tartaric Acid Pack, and then a heavier layer over same; but not kept so long on the body. But keep the Oil Packs!

14. (Q) Should the Toris Compound be prepared and used again? (A) This should be prepared and used again. Two quantities, one with the Compound Simple Syrup - not just Simple but COMPOUND Simple Syrup; the other with the Spirits Frumenti. THEN the TWO together. Take the whole quantity as has been heretofore.

15. (Q) Why can’t a high enema be given successfully? (A) It CAN be given successfully, but do not use too large a tube and just GRADUALLY work higher, to cleanse the colon.

16. (Q) How often may this be taken? (A) Not necessarily the whole colon length be given, but if necessary use every day except when there is an elimination through the alimentary canal.

17. (Q) What else can be done to help the bowels? (A) The oils may be used, but these should not be depended upon too much. More the massage and the adjustments osteopathically in the 7th, 8th and 9th dorsals - these will help eliminations.

18. (Q) What causes the heels to burn and hurt so AT NIGHT as to prevent sleeping? (A) The pressures upon the sciatic centers from curvatures in the coccyx and sacral portions of the body.

Another question Miss […] wanted to ask, last but not least, was concerning a farm that she’s furnished the money to buy, but her husband in recording the deed, deeded it to himself and heirs. This was bought in 1898, forty, (40) acres, seven miles from … on River Park road. Mr. […] was great deal older than his wife and very emotional - forcing her with her little boy to leave her home, then was when she found out it was not deeded to them jointly, as she had told him to do. He lived on this place till almost five years ago when he died, but before he died he took a family to live with him, deeding the place to them to take care of him and bury him, which they did not do in fact. Now they have left the place, greatly run down and defaced. But she wants to know, can she or her son recover this property? He sued her for a divorce but she protested and kept him from getting it until she was away from …, for a short time, during which time he secured it. She also says he was of a sound mind about this years before he died. When he took this family to live with him she and her son went to him and offered to take care of him the rest of his life if he would agree to deed the place to their son […] but he refused.

I have had to stop and write this page before going to Mobile for her treatment. Is as warm here today as late April. Feel like I would like to get out and plant early garden.

You would be crazy about this place. High pines right back of us just like the Beach.
