[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading … Avenue, 11:15 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, S.C.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions which have been submitted, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes.

  3. As we find, there has been a subluxation produced in the lower cervical areas - 3rd, 4th, 5th cervical. This has strained the muscular forces, and with the general nerve tensions in the system causes those reactions to the SENSORY forces, - throat, eyes, ears, nose, and the general sensory system.

  4. DO NOT use ANY form of a sedative!

  5. The manipulative forces osteopathically, with hot and cold applications over the area, will produce response for the corrective forces.

  6. These should be done at least every other day, and when the hot and cold packs are applied, make them alternately; applying them from about the neck to that area between and below the shoulders; as hot as the body can stand, and then just as cold as it can stand. One right after the other, for fifteen minutes; changing them at least eight times during such a fifteen minute period. This would be done AFTER the osteopathic treatment, every other day, you see.

  7. Do that.

  8. We are through with this reading.
